Some games take more story elements, characters, locations from real life than you'd expect. Here are some games based on true stories(ish) worth highlighting Rodeo: Medal of Honor 2010 was based on the battle of Roberts Ridge in Afghanistan. A lot of people bash that game but as a current member of the military I have to say it is probably the most accurate portrayal of special operations forces in any video game ever. Also the Afghanistan setting is spot on, it looks just like it, it-s a gorgeous game. The story itself is done very well and while not entirely accurate, it still mirrors the true events decently. It-s a shame so many people didn-t like it, I don-t think people realize just how accurate this game was to the real thing.

Never head of the Inunaki incident so I looked it up - and yeah, pretty screwed up stuff. That said, however, the reason why that area was chosen for the game doesn't seem to be because of this incident (or at least, this particular incident). For some reason, the area has always been known as a rather creepy place with a lot of weird stories and myth surrounding it. The murder was just an icing on the cake, so to speak.
I don't live anywhere even close to this place but I can say for sure that I will NEVER be going anywhere close to it either.

Vietcong is hands down the best FPS game I have ever played. It really gives you a feeling like the enemy could be anywhere and that you are being surrounded. The atmosphere is amazing. It is also the first time that I ever heard Jimi Hendrix sing Hey Joe over the in game radio. The weapons are great. Some comments from your team members a really memorable. Hearing your Viennese guide refer to the Vietcong using a racial slur that starts with G still cracks me up.

I hate people talk about rockstar like they made all the game when talking about la noir when I-m pretty sure that most of the work was produced by an Australian studio that got bought out when they got into financial issues
