The 2000's was a great time for gaming, and many had huge surprise moments. Here are some beloved crazy moments from that great era Mmmph: Castlevania: Lament of Innocence wasn't overall fantastic, but it has the coolest hidden boss fight I've ever seen. Throughout the game you cross through an area where you see... _something..._ moving below the floor grates. You have to unlock every crystal orb, backtrack to the beginning instead of heading to the final battle, then go down a very long spiral staircase to face The Forgotten One, a 3-storey high rotting demon corpse that's been chained up in the basement for who knows how many centuries. Badass.

I remembered being pretty upset about the Arkham glitch, thinking I had a defective game. So exchanged it for a new copy, and started over from fresh because why not. Just to have it happen again- Then what felt like forever in bummed out time, it went into the nightmare. That moment will forever be with me. I facking love it haha.

Before he became a jobber, I remember booting up Kingdom Hearts for the first time and laying eyes on Darkside. Maaaan I just about panicked cuz up til that point I had never encountered such a huge boss in a video game. Mind you I was only 9 years old at the time. That and I had no idea how much of a pushover he was yet lol

The Fallout 3 world reveal seemed a bit dreary and disappointing to me, after playing the similar opening in TES IV: Oblivion where you come out of the sewers to see the beautiful, lush Cyrodiil landscape stretching before you into the distance. Also, my PC at the time couldn't really hack it, so the frame rate was chugging!

For me it was the Hunter Killer mission in Modern Warfare 3.
The moment you get out of the water and see NYC all f-up was insane to me.
It was even more amazing cause my first playthrough I had know idea if my pc would handle the game, and seeing that scene running all smooth was a Holy Shit moment in itselft

I remember buying fallout 3 not knowing what it was, thinking it was another linear game like call of duty (because that-s what I was used to) once I got out the fall and into the open world it took me a whole two hours to realize what kind of game this was, and since then the fallout series has been my favorite

The Batman one is really fun because it's a scarecrow scene and you might miss the gas that let you know it's scarecrow. So it also scares you cuz you think your game is broken and you're getting close to a climax point kind of brilliant

I have to give a nod to the King's Fall raid in Destiny. Infiltrating an impossibly huge Hive Dreadnought in the rings of Saturn to take down a gigantic Oryx for the first time is an experience I'll never forget.
