I wasn't blown away by the narrative of part 2, but I can't say it wasn't a competent game. There were certainly things wrong with it in my opinion, but in the end I cant say that the core gameplay loop of killing, scavenging, rinse, repeat wasn't satisfying even if it does wear a bit thin by the final act.

Digital Future? I'm 61, and live in the digital (and analogue) present. The future will take care of itself. As I ride into the final quarter of my life I see that games and gaming is changing, fast, and is (almost) impossible to keep up with all the changes! But I know what puts a smile on my face, I know what I enjoy, and I know what I am curious about. Other than that, it's all about keeping body and soul together, and having the wherewithal to enjoy this pastime sensibly and affordably while I can.

I've been really enjoying the new Witcher 3 update on PC! the Ray tracing definitely is hard on my system, but i hope that gets optimized soon. otherwise playing it with RT off and settings on Ultra+ has been very smooth and just having these added mods and quality of life parts have made it worth it (im really impressed with the hair and armour clipping mod fixes, it makes it so much nicer)

lmao you and your jack and dexter i knew you were going to mention it before you even thought about it which makes me a future teller. or past teller because technically you already recorded this but if time is a continuous thing does that mean it's technically neither the future nor the past. anyways i'm not going to get into quantum physics that's for another day

Damn, used to play unreal tournament 3 a lot when I was younger
I really enjoyed westworld but seeing how they ve dealt with it recently seems like there may have been some disagreements or something for them to pull it like that, I mean there s no where to watch it in the UK at the moment

I've lost all faith and respect for naughty dog, they're just milking tlou with 3 versions of the 1st, a show and 2 sequels, it's clear they've ran out of anything original or the desire to make anything else, they've gone the way of EA and ubisoft, constant sequels to their moneymakers with drops in quality

Yeah where would they go with part 3, come on man. Especially after that grim, dark empty feeling part 2 leaves you with. We dont't get much of such ending in any media so it would be ballsy. It's not as grim as requiem for a dream but this would be a kinda good place to end it.

What's happening with that Vampire 2 game? Name escapes me. It was basically done but then the parents had a falling out and now it's trapped in development hell. Speaking of missing games, Wild, what the hell's happened to Wild lol? tumbleweed rolls across the screen

The last of us died within the first part of the last of us 2 for me, killing Joel was on the same par as James Gunn dumping Henry cavil as superman these people really don t want to make money in my opinion they ve don t have a clue what the fans really want

It's cool that the steam deck has been successful enough to continue making iterations but I'm still waiting on news for a valve index upgrade. I'm at a point where I could actually go for a vr headset but I dont want to invest in outdated hardware

I love god of war so much but I have a very hard time imagining how they can make a live action show work and be good. I hope it is but I m not holding my breath for it being anything besides trash. Would love to be wrong.

There's no Last of Us without Joel. If we get a part 3 we need the missing time between 1 and 2. If they make a new Uncharted, they better have Drake as the main character. Searching for Atlantis would be pretty sweet.

It makes sense that it's already in production, Niel had an outline and was working on a script last year, however we probably won't get a reveal until 2024, and probably won't get the game until 2025-2026
