It still looks beautiful and amazing game play PC players are still left in the dark. Oh yeah, and let s keep them in the dark convert should be MPC zero idea of using note on Consol LSD want to make a reboot then yeah but I hook my switch control to my TV and it looks twice as better in the original when it look like in them for the PS people I feel really sorry for them because the Xbox 360 version is alway better than thein switch but but it s whatever they re doing something and they need money everybody needs money it s whatever I say what the hell but let them do reboot see how much money and neck see how many game crashes it will take see how many glitches I ll take two whenever. RDR is one of my all-time favorites, and that's not something I say lightly, I've been a hard-core gamer for 30+ years, and it's still in my top 10. That said. if you still own your PS3 copy and/or 360 copy like I do. there's absolutely zero reason or justification to pay 50 for it again (a mere 10 less than the original launch price, 2 generations ago, WITHOUT the Online component, and ZERO updates or enhancements) Especially if you own it on 360 and have a Series console, because it runs at 60 FPS on Series X through backwards compatibility emulation. A basic port is totally fine. It's OK if it's not remade, but dang. it shouldn't cost more than 25 at most.
Zero excuse for Rockstar on this one, it's pure greed.

Something else to mention is that they cut out the mp. The fantastic mp. So you're getting even less content than the PS3 version. It's just a bad deal all around. The cost, the lack of improvements, cutting out the mp, etc. If you have an Xbox One-Series X, buy a 360 copy for cheap, and you then have it in native 4k. Microsoft got rockstars okay to add that improvement in. The mp is included, which is good because it's still active with players. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a console wars comment. I just wanted to let those like me who have both consoles know that the better version is on Xbox and that you get a better deal on xbox rather than getting scammed out of 50 by rockstar. Hope this helps.

Wasted opportunity the smart way of doing this would have been to make it as a DLC for RDR2 a lot of assets are place in RDR2 code and get them in game world sort of if in effect a giant mod.
This would have command the asking price and maybe more the sales given number RDR2 sold well a lot of money could been made.
As for this ports price is pure madness 50 buck is almost in the ball park of getting a second hand console and second hand copy of game.
Now as PC gamer I would have been very interested but at 50 for basic port of 13 year old game sorry I would have gotten it on sale and yes loved playing RDR 2

It's not worth it at all. They didn't even bother to make it 60fps. Absolutely ridiculous charging that much anyone paying that much for it is an idiot imo. It's just not right to treat a game like this with such lack of respect, yeah fine. don't remaster it. But at least up the frame rate for modern consoles and put it on PC as well! I would of been fine with that for 30 at the absolute most. A proper remaster I would of paid 50 for, but this Is far from that. I don't know why anyone would support lazy cash grabs like this, at least wait until it's half price. Have some self respect lol

I m part of the problem, I bought it for the switch
This game was one of my favorite games of all time and I was also on the bandwagon for a remake. After thinking it through, it doesn t need a remake. This game was and still is a masterpiece. I m fortunate enough that I m not worried about the price but 50 does suck for many. I think 30 would ve been a fair price to rerelease the game at but it ll go down to that about the time the physical version releases hopefully. I ll also be a sucker and buy it again once the physical copy releases too, love the style of Switch cases.

The RDR + RDR2 Bundle at a current discount is at 70, so technically they are asking 20 for a far superior RDR2.
For anyone who never played both then it is a no brainer because they could consider it a 30 for RDR and 40 for RDR2 which is more reasonable.
I'll be patient and wait for sale to get it at 30 tops. Loved the game but won't fall for Rs greed on a straight port. Still waiting for the same on Last of Us Pt1 (and that was a Remake) and will keep waiting, so patience I have.

I ve only ever play Rdr2 and was so excited hearing about this I even held out on preordering madden knowing I d spend 50+ hours on rdr then finding out it was a port bummed me out I figured I d wait for release hoping ps5 and VRR would make it better than it appeared unfortunately I ll probably still drop the 50 but only because I ve never played the game not because rockstar deserves the money that s for sure! Even a ps5 update patch would make people happy at this point

Rockstar reaching new levels of laziness. Even if it was a remaster, This whole remaster trend is pissing me off, what s the point of a remaster in 2023, upping a 20 year old game to graphics that were acceptable 15 years ago? If you gonna remaster, give it modern graphics, Ray tracing, euphoria physics, build it up again from the ground up like a true game from the modern era not some lazy re-texturing and slightly upgraded models that a computer does for you.

I just bought it on the eShop and it's downloading right now. I waited to see performance reviews and it seems to be flawless (compared to GTA: T. Pre-ordered a physical too just to have as a backup. Sure, the 50x2 hurts as I normally never double dip, but I personally feel it's worth it. Not to mention I have an addiction to collecting physical Switch titles.

I agree with the price criticism, even tho i can afford it no problem. But im not going to pay 50 for a simple port. I can make do with my GOTY edition on my good 'ol PS3, and boycott rockstar myself with this lazy port even if that means i have to deal with 720px480p resolution and FPS drops. A 13 year old game is not worth 50 no matter how you dice it.

This video is kinda pointless you are going to have people buy the game just so they can review it some people will still probably get the singleplayer is still good was better than playing online which a few years ago i did give a try and couldnt get into it but yeah even some kids who never played the original that own just the nintendo switch

I'm disappointed that that Korean leak didn't end up being a remaster, but this is still good. I'm curious if the switch version is censored at all (Im not super familiar with Nintendo, but I know in the past they had less blood and such) - - if not, I'm curious which will run better, switch emulator or xbox360 emulator

Yeah as great as the game is, without any improvements I can't justify spending 40 quid on it.
Currently playing through the Quake 2 remaster which is a decent improvement over the original and is packed with more content. Oh and it was only 7. 99.
This port just doesn't seem anywhere near as good value wise

We are so use to prices dropping. Yet when you look at other media music and movies many classics don't drop in price.
Plus it is a single player. Classic single player games can last forever. While online games must reduce in price to keep the numbers of people playing at same time and will have microtransactions.

Say all you will about Ubisoft but when they re released ac rogue and ac 3 for the ps4 and Xbox one it was only 25 for the standard version because they were old games. And if I remember correctly rogue was also cheaper then other new games when it was released the first time because it was the not flagship ac game
