Regarding FAR CRY, I d be willing to bet you re right: all that destructible foliage has to be a drain on hardware assets. I doubt we ll EVER get a fully destructible environment, like RED FACTION was striving for, simply b/c it requires SO MUCH time and effort to program a smooth, solid gameplay experience around highly variable mechanics. TEARS OF THE KINGDOM is quite remarkable in that regard, as there s SO MUCH going on under the hood. If gamers really think NON-NINTENDO developers will emulate this moving forward, I have my doubts. Kudos to the programmers who want to INNOVATE, but the market just doesn t support this right now. Gaming PUBLISHERS, as a whole, are due for change, as BALDUR S GATE 3 provides a ROADMAP to how a game SHOULD RELEASE. The system is REALLY broken, and the wave of unionization means CHANGES ARE COMING.

Rainbow Six Siege was also a offender of visual and gameplay downgrade. I remember watching the Gameplay during E3 and they showed the attack team dropping down on the roof of the house and starting their setup for breach. They had developers pretending to play and chat in game about their plan of attack. Of course the helicopter entry was nowhere to be found once released. It visually looked amazing in the Demo compared to it's final release state which was washed, like they abandoned all plans and just dropped a product off. Fortunately they were somehow able to bounce back. But made the same mistake with Watchdog.

I Hate when Nintendo becomes arrogant. Look I know people are into Mario, Wario ware, cuphead and all but it takes seriously less work than say Witcher, Red Dead and Assassins Creed games. Even linear Games take a lot of work. Why the hell is it necessary for every small Nintendo game to be 70. It's just 5 hours of gameplay. What the hell man. Can it not be just for fun like Sons of the Forest for like 30 only. Don't get pissed please people. Just saying.

there was also the Cataclysm and environment HEAVY downgrades for Anthem. granted the game had more problems than that, but the fact that they showed something so intense as being part of the game, not releasing it until much later, and it being nothing close to what they initially showed for the Cataclysm events and open world nature. instead we got a stale uneventful map for the open world, and a blue tint with moving trees for Cataclysm

Actually the reason why watch dogs was downgraded was because Ubisoft was not given dev kits so made the game on a high end pc and showed it off to the public only for the ps4 and Xbox One specs to be revealed and Ubisoft downgraded a lot of shit just so it could run properly. Ubisoft didn t necessarily lie they just our hopes up and realized they couldn t achieve that and never addressed it until like much after the game release.

For overwatch 2 they did doomfist dirty sure he can get noticeable kills but it requires so much skill and timing. Especially how his primary has a cool down and requires you to be significantly close to the target in order to do any dmg also the power block gimmick sucks because most likely everyone is going to target you when using it. TlDR: Doomfist is high skill ceiling and is more of a ninja than Genji

Far Cry bugs me with the destrucible environments, you blow up fields and fields worth of chemical tanks during a mission and once the mission is over they are unscathed. The most egregious was in 6 when you set fire to the dock and blew up all of those oil tanks, I kind of expected to fly over later and see the charred remains. You destroy massive infrastructure and it just repairs itself, it is kind of lame.

As contentious as AI is, one area where it would ABSOLUTELY help is QA! Defining what a software BUG in a game, and recognizing that, would streamline the process IMMENSELY. The scripting shouldn t be all that difficult to define, actually. As always, it s the NUTS & BOLTS of that software that would really determine its success, but I think it would help with game development IMMENSELY.

I used to be a pupg mobile player(don't judge me this was a dark place i escaped from) and the game all the community was excited for was pupg new vegas which turned out trash nothing going for it and it is really bland and felt like a straight up copy from call of duty the only thing that was good in the game is the graphics for me that was the biggest flop for the game

One thing I found hilariously ironic was when I downloaded Crysis as a f2p on games with gold, my Series X, the biggest baddest hardcorest most updatedest graphics card and cpu console of the current time period that I can play it on, crashed about 5 minutes in. It never did it again, but the irony was absolutely not lost on me. Can it run Crysis? Still relevant. Lol

TES Oblivion to Skyrim
-the guild system
-the sewers
-the magic system
-the weapon degrate
Also in #1 should have been all Pokemon games since gen4
Battle Revolution literaly have better graphics and animation
Until that gen all games added mechanics and were less hand holdy from gen 5 onwards its just anyones guess which mechanics would prevail

I hadn't played any Battlefield in so long that I couldn't say what felt weird about 2042. Thanks. Though, I've only started playing 2042 recently, and so far, I've really enjoyed it. I don't understand the need for operative based classes. You could get the same effect just by making all of those as loadout options for each class. But, otherwise, I've enjoyed it.

Hey everyone over at Gameranx.
Just wanted to say thank you for making your videos downloadable.
I live in South Africa and unfortunately our government has not been able to keep the lights on for over 17 years now.
We have upwards of 12hours a day in the dark so being able to download your vids really has kept me going through the literal dark times.

I m still surprised no one ever bothered to have a class action lawsuit on blizzard for taking out Overwatch 1 for 2
Yeah I know they have the right to take down their servers when they want (another reason I ll never buy an online only game) but forcefully taking away the game I bought for 60 bucks and giving me trash back should be a crime

Love to know what RS are actually doing at the moment. They outsource the GTA Definitive edition to some tinpot studio. They can't be arsed making anything substantial for the RDR 'remaster', there is no solid evidence of GTA 6 appearing any time soon. I appreciate it's good not to rush stuff out but we've seen nothing new for nearly 5 years.

No, the definitive edition does not look better than the older games.
The older games used to look like a satirical cartoon or a comic book.
The new games look like somebody made the world out of legos and put action figures in there.
The art style on the defective edition is absolutely atrocious compared to the classics.

Fallout 4's dialog options weren't bad because of consoles it was because they made the main character voiced, making it more expensive and time-consuming to add more dialog opinions. I can see AI helping with this in the future they could have fully voiced for the main story and then have AI do the side content or something like that.

Watchdogs 2's protagonists. Aiden Pierce was a bit bland but by comparison the protagonists in part 2 are just plain annoying, and the only member who isn't gets killed off halfway through! Good game mechanics but I mostly mute it whenever they start talking. Marcus is okay but if he gets too excited he won't shut up!
