I can put into perspective how good MGS games are. I HATE stealth sections in games. I find them boring and tedious. Yet I LOVE the MGS games, and they are entirely stealth, not just sections. As far as this collection goes specifically what I'm worried about the most is how terrible these games (especially MGS 1 from PS1) will look on a 77 4K display. Right off the bat if MGS 1 is 4: 3 instead of remastered to 16: 9 I will be upset (and I'm betting I'll be upset.

I prefer direct HD ports with no changes.
This is what I want. To revisit the series with David Hayter voicing snake. Without the southerland imposter snake.
I want to play parts 1 to 4 on my PS4. I stillhavent played part 4 yet.
Im a Metal Gear geek to. still o e at 55. Lol
I have a lack of faith in Konami, to be honest, in current day.
Edit: in reference to censorship. I want it in its original form. with an HD upgrade.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Metal Gear Solid 1 was never included in the HD Collection, but rather on the Legacy Collection. I know that because I own the HD Collection for PS3 but have never owned or played MGS1 on it, and the promotional material for the Legacy Collection heavily showcased Solid Snake's design of MGS1.

All of these repackaged classics never seem to be the repackaged classics. Remember when Rockstar royally screwed up GTA 3, SA, and VC? I just relaized I already bought the master collection and I had the the HD remakes for 2/3 and Peacewalker digitally from the 360.

My Vita is getting worried seeing this. Still use it for regular play throughs of MGS 1, 2 & 3. Will pick this up for sure, but not necessarily right away. Will be interesting to see if there are any performance improvements on the Switch version

I tried playing MGSV years ago but was so confused and never touched the franchise again.
Even without any modern QOL improvements, is this worth the 60 price tag, or should I wait for a sale? Or even wait for the MGS3 remake?

Honestly I'm happy to just to be able to play the games again. Esp 2 as I played that so much on my ps2 (never got a ps3) so for me this is just gonna be a huge nostalgia trip with some added stuff (the graphic novels for one)

Tbh I'm calling myself out, I will probably just emulate these, and the content that's missing. I am glad you can buy them separately at least if you are only interested in MGS3 for example

I bought it cause I own every psyical release so far. I hope this will push Konami to release vol 2 with 4 and hopefully mgs online again and maybe ghost babel and the psp ones

The best game series ever, Mgs3 is my favourite game oat, Kojima is a legend & I bought the collection just for a ps5 platinum even though Konami is a crap company

Thing is there is some stuff you can't do. Like on ps one when you fight mantis you have to plug into the 2nd player spot lol
