We love talking horror games, so today we're diving into 10 games that deserve more love. What horror games do you love? Let us know! Illuminocalypse: Soma is not only easily one of my top 5 favorite games ever made, but it's story is one of my favorite stories in all fiction - the fact that a videogame was written to carry a story as deeply philosophically profound and existentially horrifying as Soma's is nothing short of incredible.
Hell, you wouldn't even necessarily NEED the monsters and the main themes and subject matter of Soma are no less deeply troubling and unsettling... for real, you could tell me Soma's story is an adaptation of one of a Harlan Elison hallucination and I'd say -yeah, I could see that being the case...-

As a 40-year old who suffers from Bipolar Disorder AND Anxiety Disorder (Due to Childhood PTSD Caused by Child Abuse. That-s the full diagnosis. Lol!), I really appreciate what When Darkness Comes tried to do. I only say -tried- bc I haven-t played it yet.
But, I WANT to now. And I-ll be the LEGIT JUDGE of how well they pulled this off, considering I SUFFER from SEVERE [Bipolar] Depression & IMMENSE Anxiety (severe panic attacks nearly DAILY & such)
I believe I might be THE. BEST judge, for this game. Lol!

Martian Gothic: Unification from 2001.
It's one of those games that have a really interesting and unique story concept, with a focus on the standard trope of an ancient race on Mars except with a twist which I won't spoil here.
Unfortunately, it's also one of those games that execute said story poorly, with the game being pretty-much summed up as an Alpha release than a finished, somewhat polished title you'd expect. But in some way I think that adds to it's charm.

I loved condemned, really loved what they did there and how the game really threw you in with really scary immersive moments , like the random attacks ahah I loved that, see others like fear and visage and silent Hill didn't really do it for me, but when i played condemned I really felt horror and to be Honest ,I haven't felt that excited since the Evil Within, not bad...... but not condemned.... ahaaa
Condemned 3 2022 comeback.....

The 2 I would reccomend are Darkseed and Harvester -Both old graphic adventures from the 90s.
If anyone wants to try them I reccomend the Amiga version of Darkseed not pc and not CD32 as they added awful voice acting
and as for Harvester i'd reccomend getting it from GOG as its the uncut version :-)

In the early 2ks, when Xbox 360 was red-ringing, I played a popular enough horror game, and I have been scouring these type lists for years, I-ve never seen it, although I also never got past the first 20 mins. As such is the horror of life lol

Maybe not very ignored games but DDLC scared the crap out of me when I first played it, same with an actually underrated game called Suite 776, both are on steam and I would recommend both but Suite 776 is terrifying.

I played far cry 3 and I had the best jump scare ever I was swimming in a lake going for something and didn't see the Crocodile and I swam right up to it and you can guess what happened

Glad to see some love for The Thing, The Suffering and Condemned.
Some others I think people forget are: Cryostasis, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Kuon, Song of Horror,
