When I first saw this scene I was astonished. I felt like I was having a real living being in front of me. Not just because of the VR, but because of the expression and the incredible details put into the vort animation: it looks so natural, so realistic. It feels alive.

Vortigaunts have never referred to themselves in first-person before. They normally use words like -we- or -our- or -us-, but never -I- or -my/mine-. However, since this one was experimented on and became disconnected from the vortessence, he only refers to himself now.

I don't like how in this game, Alyx is ignorant. Even when talking to freaking Gman she is still beyond cocky. Instead of having a serious tone like in previous games, she now acts like a teenager from some bad blockbuster movie.

This guy reminds me of Rafiki from Lion King, though the difference is that Gary trying to persuade Alyx about father's death when he's alive, while Rafiki is trying to persuade Simba that his father is alive when he's pretty dead
