anyone else think that they could've just tried to take Ellie and cure the virus like Joel tried to prevent in the first place by killing Abby's father? could they have done that or am I missing something. it would've been a neat storyline, them taking Ellie, and you play as Tommy trying to get her back. Idk.

Honestly, how would cutting open Ellie answer how she's immune? Sure you might find out her skull has some genetic defect or whatnot, but you can't reproduce that in others.
