We know from the previous games that the Shadow is the guardian of the Orbs, meant to protect them from being misused. We also know from one of endings of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, that the Shadow doesn't necessarily kill everyone it comes into contact with.
From the wiki:
-If Daniel chose to stop the ritual, the Shadow would overtake the chamber. Alexander's escape-bid is foiled and he screams that they're both going to die. However, the Guardian is appeased by the length and effort that Daniel went to stop the Baron from misusing the Orb. It will not roar or frighten the young man, by preventing its organic tissue from hurting the young man. The Shadow spares Daniel, and for his earlier transgressions, only devours Alexander as atonement. No longer hunted, Daniel is free to leave Brennenburg with a guilt-free conscience. -
We don't actually SEE Tasi and her baby die. We just see them be surrounded by Red Flesh before the screen goes black. It's entirely possible that Tasi choosing to destroy Empress Tihana could have appeased The Shadow and it could have protected her from the tower collapsing and sent her home.
Honestly though, these endings were all kind of disappointing. Far too short and they didn't really wrap up the story very well. Seemed pretty rushed over all.

I dont know whose side to pick. Tasi's or everyone against Tasi's. Tasi was the main character who we can empathize with but at many points she showed selfishness even if it was maternal. Everyone else were playing it rationally safe while also being selfish for survival. The last unknown villain/character was tryna help while also tryna be a mother and sacrificing(gaining control over) all the people with Tasi.

HELP! - I got about this far (31: 30) in the game, and instead of the screen going black and cutting to the next scene, my screen goes blurry and it repeats the same animation, and audio over and over forever. If anyone can help that would be great.

Binged watched this. I am left with so many questions! What did those injections do to little Amari? Like, did just suppress the illness? Also, what about the affliction that plagued Tasi? Is that gone? Someone give me some answers!

The real mastermind/villain is that temaku guy who kinda forced the scientists to keep experimenting and trying to make the empress immortal until there was no one left and the empress went nuts?

got a bit of Lovecraft's Mountains Of Madness and MCG's The Strange. There's a recursion quite similar to that world in the game called R639 that looks like a corrupted and abandonned downtown Seatle, with the same kind of vibe

Now I understand why this game was said as -not to be played to win-. Its a bit less scarier than TDD, and it doesn't have any custom story mode. Rebirth is more like SOMA, with Amnesia-style story, setting and puzzle.

As I watch these from Start to ending. It look like play these game in other game from Uncharted, Bioshock, half life. SOMA, and many other. Or is that just me or am I just old school gamer? GREAT GAME PLAY!

No wonder why Alexander thought all his work and experiments were no big deal. In comparison to a whole civilization run on pain and fear, literally, what he did in The Dark Descent almost seems tame

When you kill Unknown, I saw her drop something glowing that she always had with her. Have you tried picking it up yet? I wonder if it might be possible to pick it up to get another ending.

the game has more of a Soma type vibe rather than an Amnesia vibe in my opinion.
The only part I ever felt that Amnesia vibe was the abandoned fort part of the game.
