MORTAL KOMBAT 11 All Christopher Lambert Raiden Intros Dialogue MK11 Movie Skin Nathan: Shao Khan: -It's a shame Dark-Raiden's gone. -
Raiden: -He would have battled you to the last. -
Shao Khan: -Exactly. -
Raiden just backed up his Darksided counterpart in saying that though the two were fundamentally different in their approach and mindset, both sides were just as set and intent to battle Shao-Khan with everything they've got with no holding back. They were playing for keeps, and both Raiden's know that.
And Shao Khan knows that, too. It's exactly what he is counting on. Raiden and Shao Khan in the Movie Universe were brothers, both sons of Shinnok. They should be equals, in some way, even if Shang Tsung seemed second fiddle to Shao Khan for a while in the Game Universe. In the Game Universe? Shao Khan's treated as superior to even Raiden in their cinematic cutscenes way. Raiden stands a chance, but it's 35-42%.
Compare the Game Universe and Movie Universe, and Shao Khan is literally telling Raiden that his darker version, the Game Universe is no different from the Movie Universe he represents, which he seems to think is -Light- by opposite standards. Both WILL do the exact same thing: Shao Khan will destroy both version with the -exact same method. -
Soon as I realized this connection, I was shook by how powerful Shao Khan's word was: _-Exactly. -_

They could have gotten away with more VAs. Like Shao Kahn's actor from MK Annihilation. Sure that movie was horrible but hes about the only one who put Kahn on the big screen. He did Kahn pretty well despite the film. Another i would have loved to see his 1995 movie Kitana's actress to reprise her role or Robin Shou as Liu Lang again. Or even have Scorpion, Noob Saibot, and Reptile have their 1995 movie outfits (Sub Zero in the 1995 MK movie was Bi Han aka Noob Saibot and this was confirmed in its sequel and by the MK makers.

Raiden: -i met a certain dark knight-
Spawn: -oh really he's a friend of mine- -
Raiden: -u need another comic crossover with him cause ur first one sucks- -
Spawn: -how would know- -
Raiden: -well it was written by an asshole and it ended with the dark knight offscreen throwing a batarang at u face- -
Spawn: -that hurts. but ur right- -
Raiden: -power rangers and the teenage mutant ninjas turtles had a better team ups with him-
Spawn: -STOP IT! - -

Pity we didn't get at least one intro with the Christopher lambert Raiden facing off against another raiden voiced by james remar, and lambert going -You are nothing but a cheap knock off! - And Remar Going -And you should have listened to cage when negotiating with Hollywood! -

17: 13 Chris' voice just works so incredibly well for more somber interactions like these. The way he says -I sense you have lost faith in me-, he sounds genuinely sad to know that he let Kung Lao down. I wish Raiden gave more emotional depth like this more often.

This man's voice is legendary. If you didn't experience him in Highlander, hopefully you got a taste of it from the MK movie. Another film he's in that I'd recommend if you like better than average B movies is Mean Guns. That one's a fun ride.

The best Raiden portrayal is by Christopher Lambert. To woke people who keeps complaining of -white washing-, please be quiet! He is the perfect and iconic actor most old school Mortal Kombat fans will remember!
reply

3: 57 -Its a shame Dark Raiden-s gone-
It sure is, just when it seemed like we were getting a game where Dark Raiden would be the villain. instead, we get a cheap low-tier villain!

Damn. Christopher Lamberts voice has not aged well. Its so gravelly and you csn barely make out what he says if youre not using captions. I hope he is okay.
reply

Not taking anything from Richard Epcar but there is just a gravitas that Christopher Lambert brings to these line reads that Richard simply cannot.
reply

He sounds like there's even electricity crackling in his voice, like he truly -is- the embodiment of lightning itself. That's just my perception, though.
reply

I only saw clips of the MK movie, and I wish the Raiden was more like this instead of just standing n the background doing nothing
reply

I am not a fan of Mortal Kombat but the attention to detail they went through to put this together is a thing of art and beauty.
reply

-I fear unintended consequences. -
Cool, the one timeline where Raiden accidentally killed Liu Kang in a -Sparring Match- instead.

reply

You can literally hear the current passing across Lord Raiden's vocal chords.
I'm so happy we got this when we did.

reply

Okay. I'm losing my shit over this. I had no idea this was added AND Sonya and Johnny are from the movie, too.
reply

Nice to see Christopher Lambert again. However, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as shang tsung is still all time favorite.
reply

Mk fan when watching the movie: Why did they make his voice like that?
Mk fans now: Talk more please -

reply

The only thing that disappoints me is, he makes no reference to Highlander by saying -There can be only one-. -
reply

I would pay serious money to see a version of the main storyline dubbed in the voices of these legends.
reply

man that'll be cool if they added Robin Shou's Liu Kang skin on this MK11 game too. That'll be sweet.
reply

Just me or does Raiden here look awfully like Kwai Chang Caine in Legend of Kung Fu: the Legend Continues?
