THE CALLISTO PROTOCOL ENDING Gameplay Walkthrough Part 5 [4K 60FPS PS5] - No Commentary (FULL GAME) EpicLulz000: Good story but kinda fails to be original. Finding some dead alien and using it's larvae/genetics to mutate and evolve human but everything goes wrong doesn't seem as original as Dead Space's sentient moons that give intelligence to life on distant planets so they can consume them and become more intelligent and smarter themselves. Simple few enemies and bosses, final boss looks like a creature from Resident Evil, simple fetch quests, repeated scare mechanics and really dull combat system, no strategy whatsoever just dodge and hit. This is a good example of a game that should of been a movie instead. This isn't even a 'spiritual successor' of Dead Space 1/2/3, it lacks so much gameplay, content and story to even be compared to that franchise. I'm interested in the sequel but for the story only, to see if Jacob survives and if Dina actually makes some progress in revealing the truth and see if the circle can be beaten or actually fulfill their objective of human evolution through alien symbiosis. I'm really glad I didn't spend money on the game and MKIceAndFire uploaded it and did an awesome job like always for us.

After watching this, I think people are being a tad bit unfair when criticizing this game. The game was a love letter to Dead Space, it was never meant to be its successor.
Gameplay wise, it has some very solid foundations, I think the only thing that really needs work are the encounters. I think the face huggers need to be outright removed since they are more of an annoying inconvenience and the head pods things should telegraph their lung attack to give the player time to shoot it or attack it at close range. I also think the game throws too many enemies at the player, to the point that you can find yourself in unwinnable situations based entirely on RNG, not positioning or area awareness.
Other than that, it's a fun story and the characters are engaging. I actually hope they fix the issues in this game and go on to make a sequel. I would be very interested in seeing how Jacob gets out of the facility and teams up with Mahler to stop Cole.

Overall, boring. A huge amount of time wasting in elevators, lifts, narrow passages that just repeat, weak dialogue, completely abysmal amount of characters. Taking a character right back to the beginning of the game is the ultimate troll in terms of being incapable of progressing a story. The writers and concept artists no doubt had great plans for this game that was let down by the execution in the production or the direction. Glad I didnt buy it- another game that is all marketing and no depth.
Theres nothing wrong with using dead space as a mold for what you want your game to be about (pretty much an exact replica with an alien being a replacement for the relic that evolves the species) BUT PLEASE. At least take it a little bit further. At least dead space had all this lore surrounding a cult religion of worship. This game has no depth and will be forgotten. Such a waste of potential creative energy.

I don't really watch game trailers or view magazines like back in the day. I seen this randomly on my feed from CC on YT. TBH I've been playing games for the past 28 years of my life and these style games have gotten so straight forward. That is what the biggest issue is. Like where are the cross map trivial puzzles. Where are the find items and get clapped by a boss and start an hour progress before. Where are the massive boss fights and cut scenes to generate panick and fear? Even the new resident evil games are straight forward. Until they go back to making actual horror intellectual games I refuse to buy them and just will watch the CC play them. Save myself the money.

It's a bit unfair to say that he caused the pain. Yeah, he ran the supplies, but with how committed they were to doing the job, if he didn't run them, someone else would have. Pretty sure the tragedy would have happened either way. I mean, you heard the people in charge. They were all for doing this. So taking their blame on yourself? Not right. But being motivated to put a bullet in the people who used you to cause it? Yeah. I can see that.

Terrible boss & map (the progression of corridors) design. I mean why would you put a prison guard as a boss? It looks kinda cheap. Repeated fetching missions. Story is all about falling and going back above to re-do the fetch quests. Stunning graphics though. Thank god I didn't pay for this but it was fun to watch. Was expecting something bigger tbh.

I love the story on how Jacob pushed through his struggle on being thrown in prison only to make trusted allies he'd never forget on the way its good character development. I do feel bad for him cuz he likes falling off high edges a lot lol hope to see more of him in summer 2023

I would still buy this game and play it, stream it even worth a try the mix reception is the glitches and a lot of devs from dead space moved to this game their is a huge mix of games and horror films that got sucked in this game but to be honest Daymare: 1998 was worse

So after my years of watching all these outbreak type shows, movies and games I have to ask the very obvious question. why take off the mask! Dani would have been fine with hers on no? All of alien covenant would have been avoidable. the list kinda just goes on.

I feel like the game reviews are being unfairly harsh with the game i enjoyed this playthrough. Yes it isnt as scary as the trailers made it out to be and dosnt hold a candle to dead space but its still enjoyable

Watching this all the way through - it's insane how predictable and repetitive the game becomes. Serious over-reliance on the same gimmicks and tropes throughout. Thanks for uploading and saving me money.

For all the hype this game generated it's nothing compared to Dead Space, simple enemies, simple repeated bosses. Simple fetch quests. Thankful for the videos to save me buying the game.

I wish Dani died from the beginning of how much a pain in the ass she was for Jacob, glad he pulled through all the crazy shit like a champ, can't wait to see what's next for Jacob
reply

I enjoyed the game but I really wish games like this wouldn-t spend hours with missions just to turn on the power -. They do that with every sci-fi horror game and it-s dull asf
reply

Just finished watching, what a great playthrough. Anyway, you good at playing this game like you finish this game very quickly and without dying, maybe?

$70 for a completely linear melee game where you get one weapon at the start and it doesn't even look different with upgrades as you progress.

At 39: 35, Sam Witwer's character (from Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Ferris, really just morphed into a pumped up John Cena all of a sudden.

I hope he found peace.
Meanwhile the plot: fckkk I am not gonna die here because the story is not end here but just a beginning

Amazing game, i love how realistic this is, a lot better then dead space, dead space was too far fetched. This i can get behind.

This shit was so boring. It-s like last of us 2 where you just walk back and forth, fall down deeper go up and do it all again

What a beautiful ending. i'm thinking what might happen to jacob if he choose to evolve himself to an alpha or he died later. hmp
