Playing it with minimal HUD brings it to another level. Not just crosshair - disable hitmarkers, detection meter, minimap and heck even ammo count. I only leave in loot indicators to know what I pick up.
You can view the map and objectives on your phone, blood splatters and punchy hit sounds offer great hit indication, enemies have sound queues for detecting you, the character puts his left arm on a piece of cover to indicate you're concealed, and the good ol' red screen edges show you're hurting and need to heal.
Exploring the locations is fun as well. You'll have radio chatter to inform you about an outpost you can capture, actually describing the building that it's in, and all stashes are marked by resistance graffiti.
You rarely get this kind of combination of arcade gameplay with grounded audiovisual immersion.

This game is so underrated due to technical issue. This game is fixing the problem and mess-ups of the original game. Story is cohesive, writing is decent, characters are better improvement and presentation is better than original Homefront. Gameplay is great and this is more like Red Dawn. Guns are awesome and wild as well as gunplay is decent but stiff and bad in lower FPS. This is the amazing game and better than original Homefront.

Ngl I can understand why people wouldn-t like the game or even watching it because it-s very loosely held together with a story and very open yet confined world but I think if I was playing it be one of those completionest games that I keep on chipping at until i did everything

I like the game, the only thing I don't like is how fast the character moves. There should be a walk option because the character's walk feels like a run. But so far I like the game, got stuck in a certain part but your walk-through helped a lot - thanks!

Omg, what movie is that from in the beginning. The finger gun, it's a movie reference, to a action movie a sniper in another building with a sniper watching his buddies back, that's when he does finger guns. - I love this reference, so amazing.

Is it possible to disable the markers above enemy heads and also hit markers (the X when your bullets hit? Looks like a decent game but I these arcade-style elements spoil the immersion for me.
