There were WAY too many cutscenes in the beginning(Thank God for demo save data carrying over, but I want to see where the story goes.
I especially want to whoop freakin' Cersei Lanister's ass, for setting everyone up. Square clearly borrowed from Game Of Thrones, either the books or the show.
And the Summons. definitely took full advantage of 9th Gen specs. I forgot FF16 is 9th Gen-only. 8th Gen wouldn't have pulled off those Kaiju fights. Speaking of, we're getting to a point where gameplay looks like cutscenes. I was thrown off real quick because I thought the cutscene was still going.
And how tf do these summons work? I thought the user is in control, but Clive wasnt. Oh, and Joshua will revive himself. His summon is the freakin' Phoenix, the creature with feathers that always revives party members throughout the franchise(but not in-story. Otherwise, Aerith wouldn't have died.

Seems like the opinions are split into two extreme camps of loving and hating it. In future, FF should create their games with blinders on, make the game they want to make without trying to please everyone. Otherwise, they'll fall into the Star Wars trap where no-one is happy and everyone has clashing suggestions on how they should improve it.
By prioritizing their own vision they might shed the people who hate it but gain some people who appreciate it for what it is.
Anyway, I loved this demo and can't wait to check out the full game!

Edit 1: 18 minutes. Eight. Teen. /Minutes/. From game start to first -combat-. I can appreciate a patient and slow burn like few others, but for God's sake this is a DEMO. Damn near 20 Minutes to do more than move around and be forced to watch a much cooler fight happen in the background?

I had many doubts about this game. But I took the advice of my daughter and played the demo. And wow. I mean -WOW! -. I'm just blown away, seriously. I love everything about it. Everything. Except the motion blur (which is being officially looked at, and maybe the swamp playarea felt too empty. I really cannot wait for the release. Haven't been this excited for a game in years! And after the disappointment in Diablo 4, yeah. If you haven't played it yet. do yourself a favor and experience it.

First time since FF7, 8, 9, 10 that I feel we got a real ff game.
I was absolutely not a believer. the demo is without exageration, some of the BEST ive played in DECADES. Only phantom pain's intro hour(mgs5) could match this.
It was everything an old school fan could ask for a next gen title. Even 30fps with graphics is great. I dont even wanna sacrifice fidelity for the 1st time!

We can only expect Japanese devs to not insert woke garbage in their games.

I really like the setting. FF in medieval was always my fav. And once again there is no denying, that this game was inspired by the late and great The Witcher 3. And there is no shame in that. But damn those Polacs showed the world how to make these RPG Games. BTW when is the second part coming out?

that final fantasy 13-13-2 soundtrack different this brought that feeling back a little bit especially in the area with the goblins this game will be amazing we as fans need to make sure this shit wins game of the year so square knows how much we appreciate these games every couple years

didnt really care for the homoerotic fan service in 15. From what I've seen of this one it looks more like Game of thrones rather than the super woke House of the Dragon. hopefully it doesn't go woke later on.
