FINAL FANTASY 16 ENDING Gameplay Walkthrough Part 13 FULL GAME [4K 60FPS PS5] - No Commentary FlozeLP: The most important side quests are -Priceless- along with -A Tail to Tell-
Both played will explain the meaning of the dawn seen end game and the book, written by cid rosfield.
-A Tail to Tell-
-when the day comes, I'l certainly have a lot to write about- is what clive replied to Haprocrates after his encouragement to pick up a pen.
Harpocrates is all-knowing as the game claims, but opting choosing to delve into the intimacy side of pheonix and ifrit(older brother, chances it's more likely Clive.
There's a point in the game where Joshua clearly stated that his eikon's power could never bring someone back to life.
Clive who loves his brother more than cid, should probably have higher chances that he would honor his brother's legacy.
-Priceless-
In Priceless, Japanese language; On that special day when they were young, Jill recalled witnessing the flowers reaching out for the sun after the storm; similarly, Clive reached out to her and calmed her down from the -storm- the storm being that she was being ignored as a person when she overheard her marriage potential. She gains the conviction that Clive will always be there for her, no matter what (a belief that is confirmed several times in the game, with Clive first coming back to her after many years apart and then saving her in the ship. She said that's a quality she appreciates and likes about him before she confessed to him and declared him as her treasure.
Therefore, end-game seeing the sun rising calmed her down and stopped her from crying any further.
But, endings are arbitrary nowadays, it's a gamer's pick. cheers!

i have only watched FF7 movie and played FF15 and i had high expectation on them before they release, but those 2 failed me. Since i only have PC, i am so tempted by the trailer i had to watch your gameplay on FF16 and i can't stop, i would say it's the best story of FF i had ever came across, and really love the amount of cutsence for storytelling, the characters, the outfit, the hairsytle, the VA and the details of their own stories and build up of their own characters, they are absolutely my types and they def nailed it. in comparison, FF15 set my expectation so high with their kingsglave movie, but they never did a proper storytelling in game, eveyrthing seems rushed and 50% of the story is in text that you have to read inside game, they didn't build the character's experience proper from there too within the game, the change Nortics come through is abrupt, unlike Clive where you see him grow from 10s, 20s to 30s and those experience he was put through. thumbs up to the FF16 team and i am really touched by just watching at you game. Really greatful for MK to putting these videos up. Though it really bit me with the ending but i guess that's how the director want to mark how clive wouldn't give up wills and -die by own terms- thing. now i need some time to recover from the sad ending.

I finally finished the game. and oh boy, I've never cried so much on a video game. maybe twice, but this one is probably the worse. As they say if you are emotionally impacted by a game means it is worth playing and story wise is very engaging. Similarly to Like a dragon 7. I nearly bawl my eyes out on the ending. Game writers really knows how to mess around your feelings as a gamer.
Back to the ending, my heart wants to believe both Clive and Joshua is alive. Otherwise, look at his left hand it became a stone but wasn't spreading rapidly in his body. I want to believe there might be chances he is still alive but part of his body slowly crumbles. maybe just his left hand. and since he used ounce of his power to heal Joshua, he could possibly be alive, if not why was the book written under his name? That couldn't be anyone unless a person who have been travelling with Clive throughout the journey and witnessed the whole thing. Tomes gave Clive a quill could mean it passed over to Joshua to write a book or either Clive himself. I want to believe they might survived after the battle with Ultima and finally retires and died of old age.

honestly, as good as this game was, the story kinda lost me ever since annabella died. i really liked the political stuff in the mid game, and then it just became ff13-4 by the end, with its -fighting fate and gods for human free will- AGAIN. it's a nice theme, but it's getting old. and it hijacked other interesting conflicts. imagine ultima wasn't there, and destroying the mothercrystals really did stop the blight: the endgame could've been about actually building this new world. i was kinda looking forward to that.
instead they had to do the anime thing where they scale it up to divine proportions at the end (which can sometimes work. here it doesn't imo.
it's FF7R all over again. it's like they don't know how to write endings anymore

Thank you MKIceAndFire for the playthrough! I am glad they didnt release it to Xbox and PC as I might have gotten suckered into playing the most linear FF game ever created. It is sad to watch a series like FF slowly eating itself and taking away everything that FF had to offer and only keeping the name Final Fantasy. The good old gear system from the past is only an empty husk in the form of crafting based on progression. Ultimate weapons only obtainable after new game plus. They really did a lame job.

This is the first game in the final fantasy series I've seen to completion and I love this game. The relationship of the two brothers are so heartwarming and it saddens me that Clive is implied to have died in the end, but it's a remarkable ending nonetheless. This game has made me more interested in the franchise and I am thankful for the wonderful experience it has gave me. While I am aware of it's flaw this game is definitely in my top 10. I'll be awaiting for the DLC for sure!

Ok overall the story was ok. I seen to much of asura's wrath in thus. They never explained how Clive had the ability to take others powers like infamous. They never had the two brothers explained what happened at Phoenix gate. Hell they never explained why Ultima wanted Clive anyway. It's alot of pieces left on the table. The game is cool to watch. I still don't know what the blight is and why he was being so defiant

I have to say, Ultima is probably the most boring and uninspired villain I've ever seen in a Final Fantasy game.
Story is also not that good when compared with other entries in the series. Boring underdeveloped trope'y characters and plenty of Deus Ex Machina moments.
I'm sure the gameplay was good, which was what they focused on to the detriment of the story.

I personally think Clive did revive Joshua since he had just consumed Ultima-s power and he had the Phoenix flames ( healing flames from the Firebird of Reborn, combining together that could have been what saved Joshua-s life and that-s why we see Joshua-s name as an author at the end
reply

Clive definitely survived, I mean how did he manage to write that book on the table?
He wasn-t writing a book while on his adventures, so it has to be post ultima. But then again-leviathan never got mentioned so leviathan the lost has to be a dlc in the future

reply

Yeah this game is great but it could have been a lot better. I'd give it a little above an 8. 5, definitely better than 15 but still somewhat missed the mark for me. Really excited for final fantasy 7 remake though, I loved the first part and the original
reply

oh come on. i hate the ending, but i love the ending(all of the story) - clive and jill whyy(feel like lost of aerith and zack, and like yuna lost tidus?
and joshua too, whyy(this feel like deep hurt of kain and vincent? -

reply

So Alien godzilla is real god that create human to create human version godzilla and harvest it? that's deep.
Where the power Cvil release to and Why he left nothing for his survival?
DLC might left us some answer.

Bro I was doing fine. I was molested by the Fact that Clive had to meet his end alone, but I was fine. The effing dog watching the moon broke me, had me crying like a child and Jill only made it worse
reply

I would love Oni Black Mage to do a recapitation of this game when he gets back to making recapitation videos again. Till then, we have to wait for him to return to doing the games again.
reply

Please, PLEASE, thell me that Square Enix won't release alternate endings with DLC and then the proper GOOD Ending in a novel like they did with FFXV.
. they ARE doing it, aren't they?

reply

I dont know why we have gained so many powers and stuff then gone- seems like not wise at all, just to destroy a crystal after beating the boss. Why dont we just leave? Lol -
reply

so is it the humans fault that the blight started or is it the mother crystals?
cuz according to Altima its the humans, but according to everyone else its the crystals?

reply

many thanks for MKIceandfire sharing this end journey. this is very sad ending. Many speculations but none of them was correct. Hopefully a new good news will comes.
reply

Thank goodness for the voice actor who played Joshua, because the actor who did Clive is/was horrible. He (Joshua) saved this emotional ending from being trite.
reply

Man. That hurts. Clive cries & Jill cries cuts deep. What a beautiful game. Rich in story, gameplay, visual and arts. But atlas, the ending makes our heart ache.
reply

One of my most favorite games ever. Its cool and sad that it took so long to develop it but the efforts are clearly terrific. Everything is like a cinematic
