Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay PS5 MK1 Jono: All these decades later, and technology where its at it is so dissapointing to see they continue to use pre-rendered backdrops, it really breaks immersion. Even just a little dust kicked up when theyre walking or thrown down. is it too much to ask, So much for next gen. Finally understand now why they wont show any gameplay footage on psn sales page. For anyone that disagrees. Please tell me where the reflections are of any pyro / fire / and other self illuminating proectiles and powers. there are none. very basic 2d sprites for dust here and there, and the fireballs are ridiculously bad sprites that werent even masked smoothly. Everything other than this looks good and the high paced movement i guess makes up for all the above

the fatalities are great and all but I think the should keep the torturous long ones as a brutality, the Sektor fatality is a great example, Fatality should be a quick execution which has a huge sense of horror, rather than torture, like the old school Mortal Kombat 3 ones which they've brought some of them back.
