I shot a short film with the first Ursa, shooting 80 fps RAW and had a lot of problems with the camera (drop frames - even burnt a Cfast Card) never wanted to know about black magic cameras (even tho I love DaVinci) but now this video makes me think again and might consider giving them another chance thanks to all they have done for the industry. btw can find my 4 minutes short film by searching experimental short film baby and if you pay close attention you might even see the drop frames.

total hack comedy production, hammed up over the top, makes it seem like amateur production. talent is yelling the whole time, no talent. commercials this is like old time bad network tv. please bring back quality not quantity production, stop trying so hard. lets be original for a change, not all this you tube style. production so bad it takes away the value of the content. UNWATCHABLE!

I really miss my Blackmagic Pocket OG, but, I don't miss the problems I had with it. I went through literally 4 of them and had problems with HDMI port and the record button failed on one of them. Also, had one that constantly skipped frames. I do love Blackmagic, though, and maybe someday I'll have one again. But, I've between pretty happy with my Panasonics for now though.

I didn't know that davinci resolve came from a post-production house. I thought it was just a powerful editor and coloring too. From over $100, 000 to under $300. wow what a price drop. and you get more features too. wow! what times we live in. now indy filmmakers can get access to pro tools. :-) so cool

I got to know the Blackmagic company simply because one year ago I needed to learn to edit some drone footage and the Davinci Resolve video editor is offering a free version! I couldn't believe that powerful software was free while the Adobe stuff are crazy expensive.

Why was 80% of this just a line-up of their cameras though? They're completely taking over the editing market with Resolve, while challenging all other greedy camera companies to step up their game. They're an extremely consumer-friendly company.

There are so many mistakes and missing pieces. Micro Camera has no global shutter, you failed to differentiate between URSA Mini 4k and 4. 6k (totally different cameras, no mention of Dual ISO on the BMPCC4K. Rushed content.

I feel like this is an alternate history of Blackmagic. Before they bought DaVinci they were known as the company that made cheap signal processing/converter boxes like the Mini Converter series and the Videohub.

Between Resolve, the original cinema camera, the Pocket and now the Pocket 4k, has any company done more for indie filmmakers? All of those were as important a milestone as the Canon 5DmkII or the Panasonic GH4.

I think I'm in love! Thanks Blackmagic, what do I do with my wife now? She can't record in 4k at a great price with beautiful cinema look and slomo.
Or does she?
Nice watching you Erik!

Fact checker. The BMPCC4K no longer offers raw (CDNG. Braw has replaced it. I owned and used the original Pocket for years and never encountered the 'annoying auto iris' issue.

You also missed that sadly BMMCC is NOT global shutter. Which is silly for an action camera. The only global shutter camera of that generation is BMPC4K

To assume the young people don't know what a capture card is when Let's Plays are a big thing. and you need a good one to even consider making an LP. XD
