I don't understand why you frame the way you do and more importantly why tf to you have me looking at bright lights behind you? It literally hurts my eyes and is uncomfortable to look at. The bright yellow in the middle of the frame, come on!
The OTS shot of your guest is fine, bit I don't see any of them for you ) That asymmetry comes off weird too, at least to me, and at the same time resets my eyes to hurt looking at the bright yellow light in the middle.
Am I missing something? Is creating uncomfortable viewing some secret sauce? This became an audio podcast cause the info you share do have some benefit to me.

Now. all the advice given here are totally true and great advice, but adhere only to filmmakers with money or some money. Doesn't matter if Lowbudget or not. But all that has been shown here are actually totally useless for a no budget video making. I mean, some advices can be taken from here sure, but some people just don't have the money nor the manpower to build rigs, or to redecorate a whole room, fifty times or to build a set that diminishes and gets bigger all the time. So my question is. what is the advice you can give to no budget filmmakers? Apart from. be original!

I just now realized how EXTENSIVE it is to make a music video. Obviously I knew it wasn't just point and shoot, but its the various details during filming, and lots of post production talent to deliver the public the final product of a music video. What initially got me into this how music videos are made rabbit hole, is I wondered how music videos were slowed down, yet the artist is lip syncing or rapping the song at normal speed. So many interesting nuances to music videos.

That advice on getting a low view count to build your reel hits hard. I know we've all produced some amazing art that will probably never be seen, so if Indy Mogul is cool with it, take the opportunity to reply to this comment with a link to a video you're proud of, and I promise to watch every single one and will try to give feedback where I can. Maybe we can get a group discussion going. Easy on the spamming.

Great video. You guys took a name at 14: 38, talked about someone who used cinema4d to create previz, can you please mention it here. It wasnt clear, or mention a tutorial to make previz on cinema4d for music videos and fashion films

I disagree with the showing what the artist is talking about. Yeah if they are Jake Paul it will seem cringe, however if a respectful artist spits some good bars and you recognise those lyrics through the visuals that hits hard.

10: 24 can u imagine if every creator takes this great advice seriously? I say copy copy copy until you start developing your own style. this is literally what happens to every creative person.

Quite informative. Thank you. That section at the end reminds me of that I have actually done a photo of a lion in the distance by taking a photo through binoculars.

Guys- like the segment - be aware storyblocks are scammers. Used to be called video blocks - there are FB and websites outlining how scamming they are.

It's very interesting how they used videos that have some kind of budget, when most indy videographers aren't working with those kinds of budgets.

4: 50 Talks alot about creativity, seeing it the way others see it and doing it in a different way, so it becomes what no one else has done before.

I think Lil Dickie should get a pass on #2, given that he was actively trying to make the most cliche rap video without spending a penny.

If you guys do another version with this video in the future, I'd love to see your guys's take on Carpenter Brut's video for Turbo Killer

Thanks for sharing guys. Good stuff. For me personally, the music matter more than whatever the k is being shown on the screen.

Does OK GO even make music? Don't they just goof around on camera? Outside the Madden 2003 soundtrack, that is.
