Wow Costner told that story in double time. You could tell it normally takes him probably 10mins to tell that one. Kinda weird he seemed put out by all that hospitality from the pres. Maybe it's the applesauce to make the story palatable to his lefty friends. I hope Costner writes a book. I'd like to hear more about his relationship with Stone.
Was the point of the story that Bush Sr. was burning Stone by playing with Stone's leading man? Otherwise Bush Sr. sounds kinda lonely. I'm sure he wanted to be liked by somebody in Hollywood. Hollywood always made him sound like Grendel in a suit.

i remember once chris rock was talking about the oscars in leltterman saying 'does it mean youre great? ' and quoting this 'martin scorcese doesnt have an oscar, but kevin costner has got 2, whats it mean? ' well, until chris rock gets 2 oscars he can give advise on how to be a great actor

I love Kevin. Perfect but rare example of a republican who Hollywood accepts. Costner would make a great republican candidate for president. Hes to cool to want to be a politician though. Cant blame him.
