His father got an oil man friend to get him out of the active military into the inactive reserves.
There in the Natl Guard Bush at first did well, flew jets. But then something happened. Some type of close call. For Bush in the Natl Guard and far from Vietnam combat, got scared of landing the jet. So Bush did something x odd: he asked to quit flying the top of the line jets and downgrade to flying the low level slower less maneuverable trainer. No more jets.
Then, after this request to downgrade to the trainer aircraft. It seems Bush went awol altogether, for around a entire yr, yet still took his reserve pay.

Jimmi Kimmel and staff. Shame on you. You are potraying one of the worst murderer of our age, way worse than Saddham Hussein or any Afghan terror-leader, as he was a charming, funny old man. I wasnt old enough to vote for bush but I definitely would have. I know that a lot of people hate this guy because of his last three months he had in office but compared to candidates today he was a lot better
