i think people are being a little harsh, his jokes could have been funny if he spent less time giving the back story to each joke. His build up is not worth the laugh and thus making the joke less funny.

I'll watch some more stuff of his before I make a judgement. .. He's slow to warm up so a longer set will probably show his best work.
