In the PM Dawn '90s song Set Adrift on Memory Bliss, The line Christina Applegate, you gotta put me on is a nod to the hip-hop classic Bonita Applebum by A Tribe Called Quest. My guess is they never actually met the actress. Christina Applegate is simply a cultural reference from that time as she was starring in the popular sitcom Married with Children and PM Dawn were simply name checking her in the context of using the name of someone attractive that others would recognize.
