I missed this 10 year anniversary clip, but do remember the Richard Heene story because Myumi and Richard were in my Acting Class at Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles. It was in this class that Myumi and Richard met, fell in love and later married. He tried multiple producing projects in LA always trying to get a show going but the spookiest part about Richard is he hasn't changed a bit. Part scammer but ambitious. However, when I heard the news about this original story, I just shook my head and said, yeah, that's Richard up to his old tricks. Not surprised that he put his kids up to this and Myumi is a blind follower, love her, but a blind follower.

Oh, Kimmel. After watching the Internet Historian's take on this, it's become evident that Jimmy Kimmel is the other side of the same coin as Fox's sensationalist train.
You could have spun truth into that and spearheaded a focus on information validity and poke fun at how the media hype train derailed a real story of injustice. So much potential in that material, but instead, you stuck with the garbage skit we just saw.
Hopefully, your writers see this post and take a quick peek at the Internet historian's take on it. It's a depressingly shitty situation with police and media funking things up.

This is tragic, this family's life was ruined because they where in a panic that there son could have been in a life threatening situation. Anyone who actually wants to hear more than a few punchy head lines and jokes about this story should watch Internet Historian's multiple videos on it. Including one where the father presents evidence that shows police falsified testimonials and questioned the children without permission.

Jimmy Kimmel Wth? The family did not stage this and yeah they even did jail time for it, their life was ruined enough and you want to bring this up and mock them after all these years again? The fact that you use this case as comedy, and treat it as a hoax, even though there is SO MUCH PROOF that this case was so badly treated, so illegally treated and the family was so strongly pushed by corrupt officials to declare that they did SOMETHING THEY DIDN'T DO shows how shitty your show and you are.

So many people with the right idea to watch Internet historians video unfortunately theres no way that the media will every listen to the truth. Hopefully one day some media will accept the truth and with hopefully get rewarded.
