Corned beef is a purely American thing popularised by Irish immigrants who could only afford cheap cuts at the time. But Ireland owuld do a bacon & cabbage, a different cut, but it's really our version of an American disd and most wouldn't bother with it.

You'd know better than we do Yes, because she is actually Irish. I don't understand why americans make such a big deal out of St Patricks Day. Just bevause your great grandmothers uncle was from Ireland, doesnt make you Irish lol.

As someone who's name is also Catriona, I just love hearing the name properly pronounced. Damn Irish love their vowels (she has two is, and I have an extra o - I'm Irish so i can say that) but outlander is amazing

For such a genuinely wholesome human being she knocked my socks off in Outlander playing the
love smitten, fornicating time traveller. Oh, to be an actor. Great interview and a super guest. Two thumbs up.

This woman is a marvelous actress. Outlander is so good and her costars are equally talented. I have not seen Belfast but from the previews it looks really good. I wish she would actually win an award.

I love Caitriona, which is why I sat through an interview by the horrid Jimmy Kimmel. Does no one on his staff ever tell him to shut up and quit interrupting people? Hes absolutely obnoxious.

The St Patricks Day in America. is different. The corn beef and cabbage tradition in America comes from NYC. when poor Irish immigrants mixed with poor Jews who introduced corned beef.

Catriona has become one of my very favorite actors. She plays the perfect Claire on Outlander! It was nice to see her smile and laugh - she doesn't get to do a lot of that on a drama!

I'm afraid there was too much nakedness from Caitriona on Outlander, it's difficult not to think of that when seeing her anywhere. It casts a shadow on her acting skills. Pity.

I was once told that Jewish immigrants taught Irish immigrants that the cut of beef for corned beef was inexpensive and it was first smelling up tenant housing buildings.
