Mahalo Jason my Pacific brother! I see all the positive comments about Jason and how he is a 'true' man wearing his traditional Malo. Bewilders me how y'all accept Mr Mamoa to wear a cultural skirt-like piece of clothing yet can't accept when someone like Russell Westbrook or Harry styles wears a dress. Regardless of whether it looks fashionable or not, there is a huge group of you (both left and right so don't try me) that use examples like Russ and Harry as a way of spewing hate towards our LGBTQIA+ community or to question the existence of masculinity. As an indigenous straight male who wears cultural and not so cultural attire similar to what Mr Mamoa is wearing here whether it be for formal or informal occasions, yes we wear it in the name of tradition, culture and fashion/status but at the root of it all, it is because it represents who we are. If a man wants to wear a dress or a crop top or paint their nails because it represents who they are, so be it! Just know that when you mock men like Russ and Harry about how wearing these things and looking a certain way is wrong and diminishes the meaning of being a man and the notion of masculinity, you are also mocking Mr Mamoa, myself, our people and our ancestors because we are simply doing the same thing in terms of representing who we are. Don't even get me started on the ancient history of European males wearing dresses, it aint new okay so y'all can stop with the whole men are losing their masculinity narrative and using it as an excuse to be homophobic and transphobic. Love and light to you all, even the haters.

OK well a lot of people are in the comments incredibly positive things, so just for the sake of balance, I feel like I have to say, cheats on his wife, kicks the other woman when she's down and going through an awful time by placing all the blame at her feet when he knows that she's not going to be able to publicly say anything in her own defense because she just got done being torn up by her narcissistic ex-husband in public, and nobody will believe a word she says. When you have that kind of weak going on, it doesn't matter how many muscles are on your body.
People are attracted to people who are charismatic, jovial and high on themselves, and so when they see that, they will ascribe a lot of traits that may not actually be there. It's an important thing to look out for for your own protection (not to mention a better world.

Yes Jason you are 100% correct, if we were still in a tribe and someone got sick we would all help save that person!

Jason is, well just a Jason. Whilst he's obviously accustomed to having his body admired, he is rather bashful/humble when it comes to conversation. Speaking precisely and with confidence, without all the added hubris that seems to come with fame. Refreshing.
