Regina talks about working with William Shatner on Miss Congeniality 2, acting since she was a kid, buying herself a Toyota MR2, her mom wrecking it, running track in High School, Marla Gibbs being a huge part of her desire to produce, her new movie Shirley about the first black Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, filming in Cincinnati, and her sister Reina playing her sister in the movie.

The genuine moment they shared here was so touching, and you can tell that Jimmy worked extra hard to make Regina laugh as much as possible and keep her spirits up and keep things upbeat for her. He really highlighted the movie Shirley well and kept an impeccable and delicate balance of promoting the movie, and keeping the conversation engaging and funny. You can tell that he has a lot of respect for Regina and treated her with the utmost care in her return to the spotlight after her son’s passing. I’ve watched a few interviews and Jimmy was honestly the most balanced and caring during such a delicate time for Regina. Way to go Jimmy.

As one parent to another, no parent should ever have to feel this pain. You never want to bury your child no matter how old they are. Jimmy loves Regina! It's evident. She had the sit down with Robin and laid it on the table so she can continue the remaining press junket with focusing on the film. This helps her and the interviewers. But the Jimmy's love their guests who most of them know off camera as well. The support in holding his hand was, simply thank you for everything. It's a process. One day at a time.

I love regina! I just finished the movie, and it was very good. The cast was well played, and regina did a great job playing shirley. The voice, the look, the walk. It was all greay. Also, I'm happy regina is back out there. You can tell she was a little nervous. It was showing on her face, but we all love you, REGINA KING!

I’ve been a Jimmy Kimmel fan for the past decades and I can honestly say that it is rare to see an actress/ guest that is beautiful inside and out like Regina King. And before anyone thinks I’m black I’m not, I’m hispanic. Regina is a beautiful individual with a graceful personality.

Can't wait to see the movie Shirley. Shirley Chisolm was an amazing woman, very much a pioneer. It's so good to see Regina King out and showing how parents sometimes have to press on through such personal loss. Great segment. being a parent. I felt that too JK.

I drive a 5 speed 2002 VW Jetta TDI. It runs on diesel and I'm thankful that I learned how to drive stick. It's my anti-theft device. That and how much it smokes. Hey, it has almost 300, 000 miles on it. It smokes like my grandmother when she drank.

I have been a fan of Regina King since 227 and really appreciated her talents more when i saw her in Boyz N Da Hood.
Bruce Willis shot about 4 movies in Cincinnati and Matt Damon did a movie in Cincinnati that was partly about Cincinnati.

Everytime I hear Regina talk it makes me feel more hopeful about people. She is as close to perfect as it gets. She's proud and humble, powerful and approachable, intelligent and a listener, strong and vulnerable, and just plain lovely.

I don't think Reina starred in anything since Scrooged. It will be amazing to see them share the screen together. It's great to see Regina's triumphant spirit. I'm sure it isn't easy, but it's wonderful to see

Wonderful interview. It's great to see Regina King back in action. I hope her son Ian has found peace. Let's all continue to send positive vibes and love to her and her family.

Don't believe it. I learn to drive a stick by borrowing someone's car who fully believed I knew how and proceeded to grind the gears for two hours until I figured it out.

Jimmy is really though and mean on Trump, as he should be and I love it. And he is also really sweet, kind and empathetic to his friends. Such a good guy.

I wish she received a standing ovation considering this appearance is like a comeback from a state of grieving. Ms. Taylor is such a Queen in talent and beauty!

O love how Jimmy was able to do the interview without asking Regina anything as boutique Ian and what she went through and is going through right now.

When her beautiful son died I really cried for someone I didn't even know. Regina was always a person with grace and humility, I can't even imagine the pain.

I remember Ms King in a movie with Janet Jackson, decades ago. I don't recall the title. Maybe Justice I have always loved her as an actress.

The moment when he almost broke down after he asked her how she was doing was extremely touching. Wow! I'll never forget that about him.
