OK - a couple of those questions are deceptive. Don't ask me how old my kids are, because I can't give you a number. I don't know how old I am without doing the math. My wife has to remind me when is my own birthday. I remember her's, but not usually the kids. Or the grandkids. I never knew a single name of any of my kids teachers, but I can't remember any of my teacher's names, either. I forgot them as soon as I moved on from their classrooms. The guy who didn't know his daughter's middle names, though. That was embarrassing. I know the FULL names of all of my descendants. Those names are like poetry in my ears. Every single name is meaningful; they weren't chosen at random or because they sounded nice. Plus, one of the grandsons is named after me!

Disgraceful. This is the 2nd video I've seen where a dad doesn't know his son is allergic to penicillin. Good thing they never had to go to the hospital for surgery together or that could've been a disaster. It must be nice to be able to choose what you want to remember like the names of band members but not details about your flesh & blood. If a mother did that she would be seen as a monster. It is clear what is truly important to these dads and it isn't their kids. smh.

What is worse is that these dads don't think about how much this secretly hurts their kids or the long term damage it will do to their psyche. Even after realizing they dont know basic info they won't go work on it. The mothers would work diligently to correct themselves. These dads will go on acting the same way. Sigh. must be nice to be able to rely on a multi-tasking organized woman so they don't have to remember much. I hope they appreciate their spouses.

It took nearly 20 years for my parents to remember i was a vegatarian & stop offering & trying me to eat meat. & they never were able to pick up on the fact that from the time i started puberty, i stopped using the name they called me (which wasnt even my birth name, even after 50 years had passed & up to the time they each passed away.

I think traditionally, women were the ones that kept track of all the bdays and upcoming fam events, ya My gran remembered every single one of us grankids bdays every single year - sent out the card with coins, and had a baked cake waiting - every year. Ask my father how old any of his kids are and he's got no clue.

Come on people. Obviously they edit the clips to show the funniest interviews. It's not a funny segment if you show dads who remember everything.
Also, all these kids are going out somewhere with their dads and having fun. That's what counts.

Obviously, this is a over exaggeration of dads knowledge. They interview all day to find the few who didnt know these questions. I know this because Ive been apart of this and they never used my footage because I knew all the answers, its rather obvious.

My dad doesn't even try and knows absolutely nothing about my life. I see him about once a year for breakfast. He brings his friend so I never get really personal. If you have a dad even slightly engaged in your life be greatful and can him often.

Not surprised the mom knew way more than the dad. That would be my hubby and me. He could probably only name the band director at their HS only because both kids had him for the 4 years they attended and marching band, which involved all of us.

These poor kids, they had no idea their fathers were so very disinterested in them. I remember when I learned my dad could not care less about me, I was 12. It would have been nice to have witnesses, and recorded proof.

Let me just mention, my husband and I have been married 48yrs he doesn't know when my Birthday is or our anniversary, or my actual birth name. He doesn't know our kids, Birthday either. I don't understand why, though.

Damn, these are really basic questions! As relatively detached as I was when my son was in his teens - and he lived with his mother, not me - I at LEAST knew his birthday and how damn old he was!

This really isn’t funny. So many dads are actually this detached from their OWN children’s lives. The mom does the heavy lifting because clearly the dads don’t give a toss.
