This Oligarchy movement we're in is a Club! They're deliberately reckless, and intentionally spiteful! They live in a fantasy world that wipes out the poor and underprivileged. Because they would rather spend 10 times more money to fight paying taxes rather than simply paying a 2% tax! Because the thought of the taxes they pay are helping, even in a minute way, the poor American people to have food to eat and medical care is deplorable! This is how twisted-minded and spoiled rotten these billionaires are! They feel entitled! And any Americans who aren't in their 'Club', are useless and expendable. They would happily allow you to starve rather than pay a tiny tax that can give a bit of help to the American people who are destitute. They are shameful and greedy!

During Trump's first term, there was a cocktail party at one of those summits - G7 or G-something maybe - where Justin Trudeau was caught chatting to a couple of other leaders by an attendee taking cellphone video. Trudeau made some crack about Trump and the group of them laughed. I'll bet that was it. Big middle-schooler man-titties is so thin-skinned I'd give good odds that _that_ was the moment he decided that the Canadians are nasty people (his words, to Laura Ingraham I think, just in the last week) and he's not ever going to let it go.
Just as much of a baby as Musk, apparently. Seems they make great bedfellows.

So I hear what Senator Schiff has to say and it all makes sense and he is clearly speaking from a good place. But I wonder what does the other side see when they look at him What does Fox News say about him to demonize and vilify him.
I’m just trying to understand how Republicans could listen to him speak and probably hear nothing but cynicism and lies and hypocrisy.
And I don’t mean crazy MAGA nuts, but smart, responsible Republican (and I’m sure there are still lots of those.
Like where is the disconnect And how can we bridge that divide

There's no question, none, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it. The people that stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president,
And having that belief was a foreseeable consequence of the growing crescendo of false statements, conspiracy theories and reckless hyperbole (lies, which the defeated president kept shouting into the largest megaphone on the Earth, Mitch McConnell.

With Trump's tariffs, lumber and aluminum will cost more which will slow down construction. Trees are stripped of bark and shipped to China to be turned into furniture, lumber ready to use and other things that are made of wood. There are tariffs on China but wood which is under contract to be shipped to China. This will increase consumer costs. But Trump has no idea how tariffs work so he only sees the money that is coming in from tariffs and thinks that is a really good thing

Until fundamental campaign reforms are enacted corruption and inefficiency will be part of politics.
1. Eliminate ALL campaign donations and solicitations, including Super PACs.
2. Open Primaries to Independent-43% voters, equalizing the current two-party’s 27%-27% power.
3. No more gerrymandering political maps.
4. Replace the Electoral College, which gives 538 chosen individuals the power to choose our president, with a fair one-person-one-vote democratic vote.

Republicans unify behind a tyrant traitor and we still can't unify to stop it Dems are always worried about a future or what it will look like or some other b. s. Bernie sanders and AOC are unified. I do believe Trump owes and promised the big donors their positions. He only ran to get out of jail and hand over the presidency to Elon. He set people up for this before the election by ALWAYS referring to how smart Elon is so we wouldn't mind so much being ruled by someone who could not ever be voted to that position. Trump can always be bought.

While I admire the belief that Democrats need to fight against Trump, I think the election showed that Democrats attacking Trump doesn't work, might even be counter productive, best just to let the Trump voters work it out for themselves and watch the Republicans implode when their voters revolt and pounce then it will be far more effective, IMO.

I’m really struggling with this guy saying/implying that when democrats win elections that that is democracy, but when republicans win elections that’s a dictatorship. If you think this administration will not be petty and cruel to states in need of disaster relief, just know that Trump denied Georgia additional disaster relief originally approved by Biden. Trump won Georgia, but Trump still holds a grudge vs the governor for calling out his lies and not supporting Trump's election fraud attempts in 2020.

The only way to let trumpers see the real consequences of their choices is shut things down, and let them feel the reality of the choices they made. It has to be fast and strong, or else they will not associate Trump and this mess. We need to stop enabling and saving Americans from their bad political decisions.

Democrats DID prove they could get things done. The Biden administration got some major legislation through, especially in infrastructure spending, which led to thousands of jobs. But Trump lied about all of that - loudly and incessantly - and people believed his lies. Somehow the truth needs to be brought out.

If you can keep the people impoverished, uneducated, and unhealthy, they are much, much, easier to control and manipulate. All wannabe Dictators very well know this, and Trump has no qualms in enacting this philosophy for the sake of his insatiable greed for power and money!
