LGR - Retro Fever - Apple II Game Review
video description
For some reason I find it fascinating to learn about each one, their history, specs, software and accessories. Plus they have some great games (C64 especially) that I've never even known about until now.

Now that is my kinda of game. Its nice to see something different like this. I wouldn't mind seeing this expanded on in the future. Maybe a Thrift level or game where you have to drive to and from different thrift stores, fight off the crowds in the stores to get as many computer games and computer parts as you can find before the time runs out. Kind of a -LGR Thrifts: The Game- is the best way I can describe it.

I was in a local Best Buy the other day and they were doing a -E-Cycling- drive that had people putting piles of old tech in a corner by the service desk for what I can only assume was immanent deconstruction. I tried to talk one of the store Reps into letting me snag a monitor and an old IBM but he cited some -Technicality- and politely told me to scram. Spent the rest of the day bummed out.

I'm new to Apple II and I've been seeing these games in color but also I've seen Apple II computers that are only black and green? are these later models and not the original Apple II? I get confused cause for instance the game Wavy Navy says it's for Apple II (it doesn't say if it's II plus or IIe or anything) but when I look it up I just see the black and green one-

I have this problem.
A variation of it anyway. I only care about pre-built computers when it comes to Macintosh, because they didn't come any other way.
Aside from my Mac Plus and G3 Outrigger, all of my retro computers are scratch built with no OEM parts. So of course none of them work properly. :) That's the way computers are meant to (somewhat) work!

Do you have any DEC minicomputers, like a PDP-8, PDP-11, and/or VAX?
Not really a home computer by any stretch of the term, but they are very nice machines.
DEC also made -normal- microcomputers, but most of them were a bit. ehh. (VT-180; cute little CP/M machine crammed into a VT-100 terminal chassis. that cost way too damn much)

Just goes to show there's something for everybody out there. I would love to see more games made for these old systems.
Off topic, but how are you enjoying Dragon Age: Inquisition? Yeah, I know you're playing it right now. You should really learn to close your curtains.

I'm not sure whats worse, not having met the old apple when they revolutionised computers and try to give value for money, or seeing them fall from that grace to a company that makes overpriced devices for hipsters, hypocrite activists, spoiled brats and attention seekers?

I am looking for a vintage computer, a prompt computer, you know the ones you can program,
like ones that are all put together all ready, Which Vintage prompt computer, that takes floppy disk, I've been thinking either Apple II or Apple III, which one should I get?

I think any collector of anything would enjoy this game and can relate to it. I don't collect retro computers myself, but I do collect Transformers, so I definitely empathized and got a kick out of Retro Fever. In fact, my hobby's probably much more embarrassing.
