Someone made an LGR-inspired game! Whoa. Pretty freaking humbling to think this channel could inspire such a thing, so I just wanted to put this video out there as a thanks and an encouragement to all young game developers in the making

Well, that sure is LAZY, it didn't even have 60 fps support and the alien subplot felt tacked on. I hope the DLC at least brings a couple more classes, I'm a bit dissapointed in the Soldier, it severly lacks in equipment options.
Joking aside, props to the kid. I don't know what's up with all these people being jerks about the quality of the game. Leaving aside that he's _a 13 year old who just got out of depression_, yes, this is easy to do, and yes, you could all do it too. But. are you doing it? NO! He's the one who took valuable time off his life to do a nice gesture for Clint, what have you complainers done in this regard?
But seriously, the sequel better have romance options or I cancel my preorder.

It's hard to be impressed when nowadays, doing something is mostly making a few clicks here and there. But come to think of it, when I was around 13, all I could do was to attempt to make games with The 3D Game Maker, which was even worse and didn't even work correctly on XP (I didn't had internet back then and I barely managed to make it work by fiddling with some INI files.
Now with 25 I can do crazy stuff in C and C++, but for that you have to study and read lots of books. It's a long way from doing something really small and nearly effortless, to doing something crazy.
The point is, he did something. And that's what matters.

It's a neat little RPG maker game.
Major respect to the dude who made it.
And this game inspires other ideas. Like collecting _oddware_ used to fight bosses. Each boss fight would rely on the _oddware/weapon_. Like a gun shaped controller needed to shoot. Or USB 3D glasses needed to see the boss, completely with a crappy filter effect to simulate the technological folly of each piece of _oddware_. I envision them as in-game items and not the actual peripherals/add-ons.

Well I made Flakky Birds for Android mainly because of your Ptrooper review. At the time, I was wondering, what game is (1) simple enough for me to actually finish, and (2) fun for any random player on a touch screen? Then when you said there are many clones and none as fun as the original, I both agreed and took it as a challenge. 500, 000 hand drawn pixels and 11k lines of C++ later. Did I succeed? Not to brag, but my mom thinks so.

Project Spark is a pretty cool game development system, built with community sharing in mind. The only problem I've found is that there should be a required Platform Tag (PC or XBOX) when submitting games. Too many times I've found what looks like a cool game and load it up. only to find out after launching it that was XBOX One only.
Still it's a cool idea with nice tools for developing shareable games. You should check it out.

kudos lgr for a walking sim it is a really nice one. i've seen some terrible walking sims: P and grats on getting a fan made game that says A LOT! and kudos to the kiddo that made it. weather or not you have a true passion for making games or just did this as a fan service. you have a creative spark in you and i hope you keep that moving forward in the future: )

Good ol' RPG Maker. i remember doing a -report- on -How much land does a man need-, converted into a resource management sim and later territory control game. I ended up getting a full extra-credit A for it, since the teacher thought it was really interesting, since the whole project was about finding creative new ways to give a book report.

-LAZY Game: Very violent, much hardcore, too Senpai, much notes-packed-action! Would definitely assault. 9 out of 10- - IGN Japan
Also I implore you to utter a few words on the recent Rollercoaster Tycoon World demo video that has been floating around since last week. Thank you. Meddi, 34 freaking years old, UK.

Well, shit. Now this got me thinking of what kind of game I would've made if I was to make an LGR game.
Most likely an EGA-colored sidescroller ala Duke Nukem 2/MURI, but thrifting-themed. If only I had the time to do this.
Might do a proof-of-concept demo at some point, or something.

Amazing. Takes courage for Finn to even make this and send it to you, Clint. My mind is still blown by how a stranger somewhere in the world can play a huge role in a young person's life.
Keep it up, Clint! :) And thanks Finn for showing us your true self, keep doing what you love. :)
