I'm not, and never have been a big fan of -sim- or -business empire- style games but RCT (and Theme Park when I was REALLY young) were always the exceptions. Theres been nothing in this genre for me since I moved on from RCT2 (RCT3 just didn't do it for me) so this has got me excited man!

I didn't know they had a new developer! After seeing the trailer, I was totally done with Roller Coaster Tycoon. But, what you're showing seems very interesting (way better than the trailer for sure)! However, I can't help being a little wary about it. The devs seem very cool and the game seems promising. Though, I don't trust Atari at all. I fear that they will try to make as much money as possible and will twist the game to do that with microtransactions or that kind of things (look at what they did with RTC4.
Your video gives me a little hope and I'll probably check the development of the game, but I'm not sold on it yet!

I'm a little skeptical, there is a hell of a lot of work to be done in such short time. I hoping RCT 3 features with realisted/slightly stylised peeps Frontier had a lot input from Chris Sawyer and experience making a amusement park sim. Only gripe from RCT3 was the small amount of peeps generated. I hope they keep the detail and character the peeps had with interacting with each other, taking photos, couples holding hands etc. it felt alive. All I want is better graphics bigger crowds and management detail of the originals.

The isometric, sprite based system of the original did have a certain solidity that was comforting. And I liked the lack of a sandbox mode back then (though, you could take out outrageous loans at the beginning. And I loved how you gained access to cool ride types you couldn't in the earlier game as a kind of reward for the extra challenge. The game is just about perfect how it is, and will always hold a special place in my heart. But this new one is starting to look like something I'd enjoy playing.

loved first 2 games, especially third, because of first person and just a totally fun game!
when I saw trailer I was massively disappointed, but NOW im exited as I saw video!
I saw what kind rollercoaster I can build and ride in first person
I really hope this to be succesor to this franchise AND my best chtistmas(if would release it at christmas time) present ever!

Appreciate the information. I'm personally concerned about a couple of things. How is it optimized? Is it going to handle having bunches of people in the park, lots of rides, and my scenery choices well? And the other major concern for me is will there be always online DRM? I'm gonna be pissed if I get internet lag while playing a damn RCT game. I'll be cautiously awaiting this release.

Oh wow, it's been so long since a PC Roller Coaster Tycoon game! I tried some sort of Roller Coaster Tycoon on my tablet, and deleted it pretty fast. I'm still hammering away on the last Tycoon game thanks to Steam, having a blast with it. But I really want one with some intuitive building, and it looks like they finally are on the right path.

This looks a lot more promising than the work the previous developers had. As long as they dont get lazy and have peeps look like crap and have them teleporting from the entrance of the rides and they actually wait in line & go in & out of the rides like in RCT3. Its still early so I know they will improve on it. I hope they add weather as well!

Only thing that I want them to do is fix the damn lag. I cannot play RCT3 after putting a few rides in the park without it freezing up and acting slow, that's the ONLY thing I want them to change for me. I wonder why they never put RCT on consoles? I've always wondered why and love for them to do that. Other than that this game looks awesome!

im glad RCT didnt go the -Sims 4- route and made their games based on console/mobile gameplay and actually made their game the way it is supposed to be for the PC. EA/Maxis made that mistake by making Sims 4 more like a mobile game. I will definitely be getting RCT instead of Sims 4. Sims 4 is like the Thrillville of Roller Coaster games
