I wonder if the GPS not working has something to do with the -GPS week number rollover- event, where any device that didn't receive an update to compensate for the week number reset would straight up stop working. I know this vid was shot in 2018, and the rollover happened in 2019, but there was some reports of devices that didn't include the whole list of original week numbers and had failed early. Maybe the people behind the Gizmodo skimped on the whole list and that's why it doesn't work even back in 2018. Age shouldn't be a factor. I have a GPS receiver from the late 90s I picked up at a thrift store that worked right up until the week rollover happened.

Footage of that crash reminded me of the crash that killed a man I knew. He was driving his Ford Explorer and turning right at a traffic light while it was green for him when this kid driving a VW sports car ran into him at over 100 mph and killed the man and the passenger in the VW plus himself and the impact was so hard that it ripped the Explorer right in half, threw the engine 20 feet down the road, and one of the wheels to roll past a doctor-s office nearby and that office was on the opposite side of a hill across the crash site.

All GPS mobile devi es use assisted GPS. It needs to connect to mobile network or WiFi to get satellite positions from a server. Only sophisticated GPS devices can access satellites without it. Without access to a network the acquiring of satellites can take hours. Even today if you turn off your phone mobile and WiFi networks turn it off and travel 200km or so and turn it on again -still without networks) it can take hours before acquiring satellites.

I know this video is old but every detail about this console sounds like it was invented by some sort of shitposting website. The founder's biography. The dystopian capitalist ad system. The tagline that is similar to a certain video game character's catchphrase. The bumblebee commercial that uses a similar fact to the opening of the Bee Movie. It all sounds like it was made up by the Hard Drive

Sega game gear did it better, psp only failed bc it didnt have cellular support, still waiting on a Sony gaming phone I always spend over a thousand dollars on a cell phone anyway, new one gonna have 16gigs of ram, the xbox 360 had like 500 mb
My current phone has 12 gigs ram, pretty sure if they made the emulator this device could play ps4 games and cook dinner at the same time

call me a cretin or whatever, but i liked the look of the photos? absolutely, they definitely weren't good quality. but i find that kind of endearing i guess you could say, sometimes, or like it gives them a certain flavor that can be nice in the right circumstances. i guess its my fondness for old tech and media, as a young person.

this device is not that bad only the price was extreme. i mean for a price of maybe 99 it would be a really freaking good device for 2005, cameras were all bad in mobile phones and such devices at that time. there are some chinesse cheap handhelds from 2021 that are more bad then this.

-Magazine for an automatic Glock- exactly how could an investigator know the firing mode of a firearm from the magazine?
Semi automatic (self loading) is different than automatic and the function of a firearm would require the firearm to have been found as well.

Wait Andrew Hulshult did your theme! Incredible. I can't put into words how cool it is that all my favorite things come together. The PC gaming and gadgets community as well as boomer shooter/ classics community all tied together in this way is just really neat.
