One of less enjoyable dlc you can live without. Mermaids sucks.
If you want do gardening then mermaid(mer. guy) can be usefull, because they can call rain and fish(but you need another sim to do actual fishing, because mermaid gets strong negative moglet for killing fish. For big gardens it can be beneficial as you dont have to water it yourself or waste water(repairing sprinklers) and you get 'cheap' fertilizer in form of fish.
Downside is constant need of moisture. All the time. Thats very annoying if your mermaid goes to school, or job and returns dry and it takes valuable time to get wet again. That makes them kind of useless doing anything else. I would rather took normal sim that can generate money to hire gardener than mermaid.
After Aliens, second most worthless and underdeveloped type of sim in the game.

Sims 4 has really been trash since it first launched. is exactly why I still play sims 2 and 3, I will not waste another dollar on this crap until they improve the game they don-t gotta worry about me giving them a penny, who remember when they actually used to put effort into the expansion packs and remember when expansions used to be $20. aka every sims 3 expansion is 20 plus tax and I forgot how much the stuff packs cost and it was worth every single dollar, sims 4 ain-t worth sh-t it-s 2020 and they still haven-t shown any care or improvement just slapping on random content charging nearly $50 damn dollars for a pack that don-t even have a bunch of stuff in it, at this point it-s rediculous.

Wow, I got fed up with waiting for the sims 4 to be good so I just unsubbed all sim things, and I just now had you tube randomly rec something LGR. I remembered how funny and good the reviews are so I'm here for the entertainment. Realized I haven't thought about sims in a year, so sad because I played sims 3 almost every week for almost 5 years, hell, almost every day. Maybe I should download some sims 3 on my new computer and see if I still love it, I can tell just from watching this one review that sims 4 is still not for me. Oh well I'll binge the other 5 new reviews for the lol's anyway.

Living on an island like this kind of thing sounds incredible but then I remember that there-s a lot more to life then just having a holiday, so I would need to work and do other stuff than just have fun, and I remember that I probably wouldn-t like it as much as I would assume. But still, they are beautiful places and I love tropical islands and I would definitely love to own a villa on one someday.
Still though, I would love to hear more about your time living in the Caribbean and what it was like, I totally see why you would want to keep the dual citizenship.

I am actually mad at EA right now. I bought this pack without knowing anything really ( i thought it's gonna be the same like Island paradise from the sims 3 which is one of my favs. I literally played for a few hours, then i didn't know what to do. Seriously, I feel scammed. Imo, this is not an Expansion pack worth 40 dollars. They are just being lazy at this point- I remember the sims 3 trailers, gameplays etc. i have about 7500 hours played on The sims 3. I am not happy about this

I just watched your Sims 3: Island Paradise review to compare it to this. It's awesome that you lived in St. Lucia! I am St. Lucian (& Bajan) and it's not every day I hear someone outside of my family talking about the island. This just made me love you even more. I've been a fan for many, many years. I'm in love with the Sulani aesthetics and volcanic islands really do something for me. That said, it's incredible how much more came with Sims 3 expansions.

I just really wish EA would remake or make another Sims Castaway
I loved that you had to collect materials to build your homes, and then actually physically building it. Collecting and hunting for food.
Just, struggling and then once you get the hang of it, its really fun and enjoyable.
I still play Sims 2 Castaway but its so blocky and slow since its old and its just annoying sometimes

If you-re considering buying island living for sims 4, stop and reconsider. For the cost of ONE expansion pack for this game, you can buy the Sims 3 starter pack AND island paradise for the same price, $40. It-s a better spend of your money and you won-t regret it. The sims 3 and island paradise are infinitely better than the sims 4. Thanks!

What happened to the sims 3 developers. it's like they quit and EA hired a bunch of lazy people to develop sims 4. every expansion pack is a disappointment. Loading screens drain my soul and there's barely anything to do an hour into the game. I keep buying new packs thinking this will make it fun and an hour in, i'm over it all again.

The only reason I was excited about this pack was turning into a Mermaid. I love the mermaid thing & thats what really drew me to this pack but watching LGR videos he is really the best when it comes to reviewing the newest packs. I always come to their videos when it comes to deciding what pack I really want
