Current state of educational entertainment - LACKING big time. The only thing close we have is -ABC mouse- which is. okay I guess but you pay monthly for. Jump start used to have something but not sure it exists anymore. All kids want to do is play fortnite, roblox, and mine craft. The latter two are okay I guess. Creativity wise you know? Allows kids to build things. But nothing like we grew up with. it-s simply not there. Sad really.

Being a 90's kid myself I love watching your DOS game reviews. I've played a handful of what you covered and have discovered many -new- DOS games that I would love to play. It just makes me think about GOG and how they have a nice collection of classic games that you can play. I miss all my old tech, wish I still had it.

I'd say kids aren't that tech savy nowdays as I was young. Today everything has been streamlined for the user experience. You can actually touch things to make them move and react on phones and tablets. I'd say the kids are software savy and adopting newer software stuff earlier, but defo not more tech savy.

I, too, had an Acer when growing up (around '95-96. It was Windows 95 but it also had it's own (Acer) version of Microsoft Bob on it called Acer Base. I've never found any evidence of this software on the web, so I wonder, does anyone out there remember this software? I'd love to see a screenshot/video of it again.

Late 90's best time for computing in general, agreed! I remember being in Jr HS, my dad worked for the Altec Lansing speaker Co and I would get all of the new models in the house all the time, it was exciting to see how quickly just PC sound was evolving.

Hey LGR, would Total Distortion be on the list of 90's games to review? Also Chrono Master too? I'm a 80/90 guy like you and it brings me back fun memory of how having the Voodoo card was like a Nerd equal to New Kid on the Block.

Have you heard of IBM Aptiva series? My first PC is Aptiva 2156 and its case might be the smallest one I have ever seen. I am sure it will be a lot fun to discover its content here some day. Thank you for excellent posting!
