It is common for people to have to warm up to new things. A new car doesn't feel the same as your old one, for instance. The same goes for TV shows. They have to work out the kinks and find their audience, but production companies hope for an instant smash hit that will run 10 episodes per season for 25 seasons. Since a hit is rare during the first season, they keep killing off shows before they have a real chance to succeed.

sorry but the very concept of obliterated was a 1 season thing. defused the bomb. went to celebrate. there's another bomb can only realistically happen once. i dropped the cleaning lady this year because that premise got played out half way through season 2. after last season woman needed to pack up her son, her sister in law both of her kids. and disappear somewhere in mexico or deeper in another state

Julia was an excellent show but it catered to more mature audiences. I was sad to read that it had been cancelled.
I couldn't get through one episode of Schmigadoon, Obliterated or This Fool.
Minx waa okay but very controversial and I won't miss it. Starz pissed me off when it cancelled Heels. That was a great show.
Wolf Pack was bad but I still watched it because of Sarah Michelle Gellar

Most people get HBO Max for HBO, and the WarnerBros. DC movies and shows they already know and love,
We aren’t going to watch some random ass TV shows that we’ve never heard of, and they’re usually terrible.
Either way, we don’t need Max Originals unless it’s DC, Harry Potter, IT. Things we already know and like

Looper, can yall investigate and tell us whether we'll ever get second seasons for the shows, Yasuke and Trese. Its been a few years and there's no word on whether they've been cancelled or are moving forward. At least, I haven't heard anythjng.

I'm still heartbroken that Shmigadoon got taken out before they could get to the 80s/90s era of musicals. All of those songs were written already!
