Across series, galaxies, and generations, one question has been left fairly open-ended in the Star Trek franchise. After over a half-century's worth of series and films, we may finally have an answer. Ramon: Really? Try the episode of Star Trek with the two men black on different sides of their faces. In a carefully framed moment the line is given to Uhura, who tells the two warring men that they had long since ridded themselves of racial issues, in particular those based on appearances. The two men eventually did themselves in. The episode ended with the crew sitting around, scratching their heads over how these men couldn t resolve their differences. Why didn t these geniuses help them with the way that they solved their own prejudices? It stick out now, and is at the center of everything in this country now but it seems that swept under the rug in the future it was a much bigger problem. This is the one thing that Star Trek didn t solve. Please

To be fair, its not as if each and every Admiral seen in Star Trek was evil. For every Norah Satie and Erik Pressman, there s a James T. Kirk, Harry Morrow, and Heihachiro Nogura. Admiral William Ross over at Deep Space Nine is an example of a capable member of the admiralty, ditto Adm. Alynna Nechayev. Its ironic that the voiceover of admirals on hand to trouble the captain had Adm. Leonard McCoy inspecting the Enterprise D, as Bones is hardly the meddler type such as other Federation/Starfleet officials seen like Commissioner Farris in The Galileo 7, Nilz Barris in The Trouble With Tribbles, or Robert Fox (the proto Picard) from A Taste of Armaggedon.

then my startrek onlnie oc be like: a very very hands on frount lines comanding fleet ameral that also fixed starfleets issue with the burn efetcing and breaking warpcores by just reporpsing the zero pont energy matrixes in quantuim torpidos into fully fonundnal zero ponit energy warp cores. also so pig headed to the point not even borg asslantion nano probes have any efect on him and can bascly just be unasslatable by any borg in a fist fight. also can make regal warcores output so much power that when not at full warp the ship he is the captiin of can get far more power for all the ship sisitems.

One of the most common literary devices will have the Hero of the story questioning the authority in their culture, with varying results, depending on the Author's intent. Star Trek is a collection of stories and the easiest way to move the plot along, and get to the point, is to have an authority figure (like a Admiral) give it a goose.
