Ok seriously This trilogy isn't gonna happen ok It's just more of the same nonsense they've been doing for the last several years announcing projects they supposedly plan to do then radio silence for a few months to a year other than a occasional yeah we're still waiting on the first draft of the script then we wait another year and we hear that the director left over creative differences with Lucasfilm and then they'll quietly have shelved this like the other dozen star wars projects they've announced that aren't happening
There I just saved you a lot of time and energy griping about a star wars movie/movies that likely won't happen your welcome

Here's a crazy idea: don't make a trilogy. Just focus on making one film as good as it can be, a satisfying experience with a beginning, a middle, and an end. Then, if audiences like it, you can consider doing a sequel.
I genuinely think the concept of stand-alone Star Wars films was an interesting one and I'd love to see it revisited. Solo was just the wrong choice. Don't do prequels or tie-ins to existing events; just tell interesting stories set in the Star Wars Universe and experiment with different genres.

Fans are gonna hate it no matter what. Even if they win Golden Globes and/or Oscars they’re still gonna be hated. Because in their eyes it’s only good if they say it is. Daisy Ridley could win best actress for playing Rey and fans would still call her character a Mary Sue. Which is a term they completely made up. And on top of that they seem to think that the project being bad gives them the right to treat the actors and actresses like garbage. They’re parents should disown them

Look kids, I’m sure with the right wing taking power in America now and really looking to eradicate all opposition in their culture war against anything inventive or new we will see the end of Star Wars doing anything risky or adventurous with story telling in the future like Rogue One
I mean that is what everyone wants, nothing new or different that might stray from 1970’s white man hero storytelling right

It's sad that when you were a kid you queued up for the Star Wars A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back double bill at the cinema and then years later you are just fast forwarding through Rise Of Skywalker on the Disney web media player, never to watch the movie in it's complete form / entirety. I cannot be bothered with the new upcoming movies.

Disney needs to distance themselves from anything Skywalker related. Fresh story, characters and plot. The only way for this to work would be to make us care about the characters. Look at the Mandalorian, he was a nobody and they created something pretty amazing.

My prediction is, Rey turns to the dark side. She's saved and turns back into a Jedi. I don't think they'll repeat the prequels. But I do think a lot of original Star Wars fans are gonna be upset. The new fans will be happy.

Star Wars has been dead to me since the Phantom Menace. I simply don't care. All I wanted was the OG crew on the millennium falcon hanging out. What I got was Jar Jar followed up by the future being run by a merry sue.

All good things come to an end. Just let Star Wars die already. The continuous bastardization of the franchise is just sad. I don't think anyone even considers anything past The Mandolorian Season 1-2 to be canon anyway.

I hope that it does return to the big screen and the 10th movie will be worth the wait. I think that we will see the other 9 movies in order leading up to 10s relase that will be an intresting time for binge watching.

I blame Lucas for not doing his own sequels in the 80s or 90s. Instead he wasted our time on his ridiculous prequels, and the franchise has never really recovered.

I think the Skywalker Saga should stay as it is and any new films should be spin offs ie Rey and The Mandalorian or a completely new trilogy!
