The Untold Truth Of Cheat Codes
video description
or one of the most popular games grand theft auto 5 single player story mode still actually uses cheat codes in the form of phone numbers u pull ur in game phone and dial a certain number u can get diff cheats such as spawning in vehicles, removing or adding wanted levels, full health, explosive bullets, super jump, etc etc.
but cheat codes aren't allowed on gta 5 online so u have to use glitches, u can glitch clothing saving outfits from missions, or glitching certain clothing with another piece that u normally can't like a mask and helmet combo, or even make certain body parts invisible, but the main glitch that people use is car duplication glitches which gets patched by the game maker within day or 2 of them being released and their are people that are always find new work around methods to get it to work.

I hate achievements. They're another popularity game. Beat a game really quickly by exploiting shortcuts and you get an award for it. Beat a game without getting touched or pointed against in anyway and without exploiting anything and you get jack diddle. Why is that? Shitheads made speedruns trendy. Like a speedrun has ever been hard to do. Like skipping all of Mario is totes for sure harder than beating every single level without touching a single power-up or losing a life. I don't give a damn if you've turned around three times and scratched your ass no matter how many awards steam gives you for it.

0: 36. what? That's not how hacking in cheat codes was done. No one was randomly changing code and seeing waht the results were unless you were on a console like a SNES, and reading Galoob's Game Genie booklet on how to create cheats. You JUST said they looked through the code right before that so why the hell would you choose the most shitty brute force method possible in that situation? They modified the source, by hand. It wasn't trivial but it wasn't random either. Source: Am programmer, professionally.

sv_cheats 1, noclip, godmode, some cheats / dev commands that i can't do without
as a modder that is. Gaming with cheats on is no fun at all when you ask me, although
some games have parts in them were you have to try for at least 10 to 20 times before
you are able to pass them. Then a cheat is very helpfull. A game needs to be fun,
not frustrating, at least that is my opinion.

I discovered Sonic the Hedgehog level skip by holding ABC+start. This was completely by accident i just wanted speed up the 3 second intro screen. When Sonic 2 came out, having cheat codes in magazines became normal. Gone was my 11 year old self proclaimed hacker self. But as soon as that happened i literally memorized cheatcodes from magazines my mother would not by me. Good times! :D

poke's are not cheat codes btw; they are the start of modding, cheat codes are dev shortcuts to speed up dev, they look similiar, but poke's are the player's figuring out how to modify stats on the fly (hex disk editor's worked well for this as well, cheat codes were left in that dev's used for rapid developement, so. one is a mod or. even cheat; the other is a cheat code

I say fck all that! Bring back Gameshark for the new consoles as well as for last gen consoles at least. Don't like games that challenge me, never liked it, never will be! Don't have the patience to spend 3-6 months trying to pass a level in a game that it's too damn hard to complete! That's all I have to say. Thank you and have a great day!

Me and my older brother used to go to walmart to the magazine section where he would read or actually read a magazine and I would write down cheat codes/tips/tricks on a paper so we can go home later and try them out on our games lol

The only satisfying benefit to using cheat codes these days, is use them for purpose that they were first developed. Put simply, to get past levels that are just so challenging, that the game end up no longer being enjoyable.

Calling machine code pokes. Keep it classy Looper. Poke is just the command in the programming language BASIC you use to insert a value in the computer memory at a the address you specify in the command.
