Underappreciated Thrillers You Need To Watch On Netflix
video description
thats the hook. Are street corner prophets truly schizophrenic or mentally ill, or is God actually giving them messages and warnings for us all? This is one of my all time favorite movies! I love when a movie messes with my head!
I recommend another. can't get the name in my head though. oh! Signals! it stars Mel Gibson as a pastor who loses faith after his wife dies tragically, and is raising his two young children on his own. His Younger Adult brother ( played by Joaquin Phoenix) is staying with them to help his brother raise his two young children after his wifes' untimely demise. Great movie!
And outer space sheer supernatursl horror that I loved Event Horizon
How do those sound?
SIGNALS? Isvthat it?

1. Meeting Evil - Delightful and suspenseful, Samuel Jackson is scary, bluntly real, and fun. Buckle in and enjoy some of the early campy effects, because the left turn is truly a good time.
2. The Most Beautiful Island - An impressive, low budget indie about New York's seedy underbelly. And one of the most suspenseful - and unexpectedly satisfying - scenes I've seen.
3. A Dark Song - Does grief make you do crazy things? Yes. The uncomfortable and very apparent break from sanity for two individuals performing a cult ritual to meet a woman's deceased child is an exercise in misery. and somehow, also, hope.
4. Time Lapse - A movie version of an episode of the twilight zone where a camera takes photos of the future. What I loved about this fresh take was the twists and wondering who the real villain is.
5. Dig Two Graves - An awesome revenge flick that is worth a watch.
Five movies that looked bad and then came back and surprised me.

The Invitation was utterly uninteresting, boring, unimaginative, and downright frustrating to watch. This POS dragged on and on and on, and the relationships between the characters were completely forced and unbearable to watch. It wasnt creep, scary or suspenseful by any meansit was a giant turd of a film trying to be Hitchcock-esque and failing miserably at it. Even the predictable twist at the end could be seen coming a full 15 minutes before the film ended. Word of advice: Turds are meant to be flushed. Pull the handle on this one. Hard.

Let's Talk About Kevin was a missed opportunity. It could've been a great movie about what happens to parents before and after their kid commits a terrible crime. Instead, it was basically the same scene over and over. Kevin treats his mom horribly, then denies it and the husband thinks mom is being too hard. There's no growth to it, i. e. the son starts off with small slights and then is outright cruel towards the end as he spirals out of control. If you fast forward to the end after half an hour, you really aren't missing much.

Okay, The Double (with Jesse) was what I literally just watched last night, and I HIGHLY recommend it. The basic depiction doesn't do the sophisticated nature of the film justice. I would probably more classify it as a dark dramady, but thriller definitely works too. Here's
the main question that the movie poses: Can you outsmart your double whose taking over your life while having an identity crisis along with possible depression and suicidal tenancies?

So he left his phone in the car because he didn't want his girlfriend on it the whole time? In the woods? If I understand it right, He could have just turned it off and stashed it in his back pack and lied to her. If I'm wrong, then I apologise immediately
Edit: regarding Backcountry, in case it wasn't clear

I love We Need To Talk About Kevin & The Invitation, also Coherence & Prisoners (mentioned in the comments. I actually hate Jesse Eisenberg, so now I know of an interesting-looking film that I'll never watch because it's been ruined with his acting. I'm going to watch Frailty & Cold In July.

For those of you saying Cold In July was great, what did you like about it? You didn't find that it made no sense? The Killing of his psycho son with the corrupt cops in the beginning? What is the connection between the two storylines? I thought it was dogshit.
