The Ending Of Maze Runner: The Death Cure Explained Michelle: It still makes no sense.
A deadly virus is wiping out humanity so we took a bunch of kids, wiped their memories and put them in fortresses surrounded by mazes guarded by killer cyborg creatures who kill them on sight, but only if they're in the maze after dark.
These kids are supposedly immune except none of them are because even the main character gets infected and they're in the Glade to find a cure, which they already have because it cured two of the kids.
They exit the maze, which turns out to have been created by two of the kids, having proved nothing of medical value and one with the virus gets speared in the chest and dies, except he doesn't die because he's found and is immune, meaning he can't get the virus he's infected with in the first place.
Having gathered some nondescript data from the escapees, they begin actual medical trials by subjecting their most valuable research scientist and other 'survivors' into test subjects that also prove nothing, but they all escape and are almost killed by the group sent to bring these 'vitally important' test subjects back.
One decides to go back willingly but not as a test subject because her and her friends are no longer important to their research but they put the captured friends straight back into testing which revolves around psychological testing.
Anyhoo, the group rescue their friend in a daring and dangerous mission because the main character decides he is Neo from The Matrix, where he learns his dead Glader friend is alive and well, another friend has caught the zombie virus from somewhere, presumably from not following Social Distancing rules and that he has the cure that they already had in the the first film, running through his veins, except this is the actual cure.
In the end, they destroy the city and kill the last one who knows there's a cure, run off to some beach and presumably do what they should have done in the first place and quarantined the healthy, maybe taking a few blood samples to find out what makes them immune or able to recover.

After watching the movie for the? time, I only found two things I question. Since the entire film is unlike the books in many regards, these two things bother me.
When Thomas saves Teresa from being shot, and gets shot himself, towards the end of the film- he yells out Brenda! Was this a mistake that somehow made it past all directing and editing staff, because thats a pretty big error, or was it because he had built up a relationship of trust and protection with Brenda by that point and associated the danger of the moment with the real girl he wanted to be with at the time? I lean towards the first option, which is really pretty sad on the moviemaking part.
Second question, last we see Ellis, he is getting ready to board a ship with all the other newly rescued immune with only a couple of bruises to his face. He didnt go to the city with the others for the film, but somehow ended up on the memorial rock at the end of the film. How the hell did he die? Did his storyline get cut during editing or did someone just make another pretty big error- just this time in set design?

Okay I am sooooo mad at Thomas! First off Ill say that I Brenda isnt my favourite character. But Im mad at Thomas because of his double standards. (Btw this goes for the book. Because when Brenda says that she worked for wicked he was fine with it but when Teresa makes the same mistake as Brenda, Thomas just hates her and wont even give her a chance. He only ended up forgiving her after she DIED! Uggggghhh! But anyways I also wish that Thomas ended up with Teresa and not Brenda but this is just my opinion. Also I hate the way that Teresa died! She had PLETNY OF TIME to get onto the ship! Also this goes for the books, I hate that after Teresa dies Thomas just goes to Brenda and they kiss in the sunset. Like, ahem, your only friend before the maze just DIED, incase you forgot. Anyways thanks for reading

So. everything that was built up in the previous two movies was just leading us to an ending where they simply ran away anyway? All this talk about a cure, saving humanity. no, the cure was a complete Red Herring and a humongous waste of time. Sure, they won their freedom as opposed to when they were living in the maze (which by now feels completely irrelevant storywise, but nothing they did actually changed anything. What's to say that the infected won't spread even to their little Safe Haven? And let's not talk about the hoisting the bus over the wall and how much bs that was.

1: 53 Thomas turns the weapon on his best friend
I thought it was Newt turning the weapon on himself, since he kept switching to and from having control over his body. Newt knew that it was the only way to save Thomas, and so killed himself before he could kill Thomas.
(Also, here's a Theory: Newt managed to draw blood from stabbing Thomas lightly in the chest. Then, he stabbed himself. If Thomas is immune, his blood might have stopped the infection. If someone found him and saved him before his knife wound became too serious, he may be alive)

I honestly recommend to read the books, the movies arnt like the books at all, after I read the first book I was hooked, finished the whole series in a week, Newton in the book didnt go out like that still sad that all Im gonna say, last book isnt about the present time its about the past, Linda different but really good, has a twist at the end, I still think to this day that I wish there was another book they made so I can read it.

I couldnt sleep because Newt died.

Goddd, I wish Tommy helped Newt,
was he actually so dumb that he didn't realize brenda was still okay with his serum, even when dr. mary told in the previous installment that its a matter of weeks or months if all goes okay.
could be frypan or brenda or gally again
why Newt.
I hate the storywriter

OK, since you killed my 2 favorite characters, here are my demands Wes Ball. The Kill Order and Fever Code movies. I want the Kill order released by at least 2022 and the Fever code released 3 years after. If not, I will get my crazy friends to blow up and infect everyone left in the world. You have been warned.

Of course Thomas blood was the cure. Hes a Gary Stu. Shouldve been an unexpected member of the team, and forced Thomas to choose between saving that person or letting WICKED keep them to save humanity. And thats the problem with The Death Cure. There were no twists. Everything was 100% predictable.

not to be hating but you got some things wrong. first newt did not get killed by thomas, newt pulled the knife on himself because he could not take it anymore. second it was not to late for theresa. she realised that she did something wrong so she sacraficed herself to save thomas
