Damn that's sad. It makes you feel OLD when a guy from a sitcom your parents watched and then you watched, dies. I used to be allowed to stay up & watch Night Court with my mom! I LOVED THAT SHOW & watched it later in syndication. There will NEVER, EVER BE AN AMAZING ERA FOR SITCOM'S AGAIN. After the 80's sitcoms started to die out, but were broright back by shows like Seinfeld. And 90's sitcoms WERE GREAT! Reality TV was THE DEATH OF ALL GOOD TV. Especially CANCEROUS SHOWS LIKE Jersey Shore & The Hills I mean MTV was GREAT with just The Real World. Too bad EVERYBODY & their mother ran with their idea and TOTALLY RUINED TV ESPECIALLY FOR SITCOMS.

Loved Dave Stiers, (LOVED MASH, Harry Anderson (NIGHT COURT, and Margot Kidder(Louis Lain) As for the rest, I guess I did see the drill Sargent dude but that was my only knowledge of him. As for the rest, I honestly have never hear of any of the rest of this list at all. Its very weird to me? Must be a good year for not losing too many great actors. (At least in my opinion) but I mean no disrespect to anyone reading my comment. Again, so far at least no big names passed like last year with David Bowie, Fats Domino Now those 3 were a huge loss to me compared to the various background actors that died this year.

Had the pleasure of working with David Ogden Stiers as his stand in, as I was a tall 6ft 6 PA on the film crew; ). I layed on the floor and had fake blood put around my head while the director set up the shot with the cinematographer. I must have laid on the uncomfortable floor for 30 mins, until the shot was framed and ready. Then David tapped me on the shoulder and joked, its one of those times where I bet you wished you were born a midget; ) Charming man, great character actor and very sad to hear of his passing.

I was sitting in disbelief for the longest time after seeing Harry Anderson in the intro. I didn't even hear about it. Although I wasn't even born when Night Court was on, I watched the reruns as a kid and loved his character. I also really enjoyed it when he guested on 30 Rock with that reunion episode at the time. Rip to him and everyone from this year. I lost so many people I admired in tv/film and people I grew up with irl too.

I have met met someone who isnt an actor but a Pearl harbour survivor named Ray Shavez. He passed away at the age of 104.
I met him on the U. S. S Midway, we sat down next to him and he told us about himself and then we moved on. But as we were about to leave, he remembered us and invited us to be in a photo with him and his family. When I heard the news of his passing, I was heartbroken. He was a real hero. RIP

RIP CHRIS Cornell and so many more, musicians granted, but Chris Cornells voice along with the lead of another groups suicide death. man alive. I need Chriss voice as badly as I needed Kurts in 93. all of those that have passed though, like stated, will be with us in the movies, what a thing else we could hope for but of the ability to recall.

It was depressing enough when we lost the likes of Mickey Rooney, Peter O'Toole, Ray Harryhausen, Christopher Lee, Leonard Nimoy, George A. Romero, Tobe Hooper, Carrie Fisher, and John Hurt, but learning about Margot Kidder and R. Lee Ermey passing away this year was just too much. and now we've lost Burt Reynolds.

Just looked up Jon Paul Steuer's cause of death. Suicide by gunshot. suicide is so horrific and so much more common than it should be. It hits very close to home for me as well.
May God rest his soul, and I pray he has relief from whatever demons by which he was so inundated.
