Original: Venom - A young boy goes to the pet store to get a snake to add to his collection. When he arrives home kidnappers fail to take him and police surround the building. At the same time, the pet shop owner frantically tries to get ahold of the boy to tell him his pet snake is in fact very poisonous. The snake escapes and goes on the hunt throughout the apartment.
Remake: Snakes On A Plane
How they got from point A-to-B I have no frigging idea.

Because Magnificent 7 had a diverse cast in no way help that movie. The remake was a classic, the original was a masterpiece the Chris Pratt one was an unimaginative money grab.
And one reason the new one sucked and the old ones didn't was because the old one's focused on giving us a good story from the beginning, the latest one focused on giving us diversity.

There is no way the modern mag 7 was better than the Yul Brenner version. and authentic Mexicans isn't diverse enough for you? Holy Peter strozk. And revenge is a better motivator than just doing something right? Guess you totally like Falling Downs hero.

the cast is much more diverse - And that's just automatically better? I'd prefer the best people get the roles regardless of their skin color. I wonder how minority actors feel about being a check mark on an affirmative action campaign.

Why do we have to do remakes? Remakes are only made by shitty producers who lack creativity. Try something different. Write something new. This is why Hollywood sucks now! Lack of originality. Any one can be a copy cat.

The child play remake is gonna be different because this Chucky has the ability to control electronics. And Andy gonna have a stepdad I heard. And Andy a teenage. And it makes sense with a teenager wanting a robot buddi.

What about invasion of the body snatchers one of the greatest alien invasion movies made of the 1950s with an even better version in 1978 with Donald Sutherland with one of the most memorable movie shock endings ever.

What is kinda funny is that Yul Brynner (the man in black) re-appears in Westworld (the movie, with the exact same outfit where he's rather like the Terminator chasing our protagonist.

The 50's version and John Carpenters movie are both based on the novella Who Goes There by John Campbell. Carpenters movie is closer to the book than The Thing from Another World.
