The producer did not put in images of the monsters for SUSPENCE. They wanted the audience to feel part of the experience, so in decision of dis-cluding the monsters, the film gave the feeling of We have not yet seen the monsters, therefore we are still alive

I think the whole point is that the monsters dont look like one thing. Everyone sees something different when they come. Which is why Gary has drawings of so many different things. Gary was mentally ill. So he never saw one thing every time he looked at it

I thought the reason why they dont put actual monster, its because they dont have enough budget to make realistic demon monster. Netflix is only producing such movie like this that have only enough budget to sell to their customer.

apparently this movie is about mental illness so the people who don't have an illness see the monsters but people who do have an illness don't see what everyone else is seeing such as the guy with the drawings
