The Internet Is Freaking Out Over The New Batman Pick Incog2k6: People who lash out at this casting decision are still stuck in the year 2008. It's 2019, ffs. Robert Pattinson has proven himself to be a fantastic actor in movies like Cosmopolis, High Life, the Lost City of Z and Good Time (ESPECIALLY this one. In fact, I'd say that he is amongst the top 3 Millennial (people born between 1981 and 1997) actors right now. People who still ridicule him because of the Twilight flicks (he hates them AS WELL) are the same kind of people who say that superhero movies are supposedly for kids only, or that all modern music allegedly sucks (Top 40 music, sure. Stop being ignorant. This dude has built up an impressive resume over the years and garnered all kinds of critical acclaim. He will give 101% for this role. Plus, he probably wants to be remembered as a kickass Batman, and not some emo vampire. This is Michael Keaton/Batman and Heath Ledger/Joker all over again. Fans aka armchair directors will never learn. Heck, Pattinson has CHRISTOPHER NOLAN's approval. Enough said.

I look at it lik this. Errbody is gonna hav their own personal opinion but when that becomes the overwhelming majority of fans opinion. U should least hear out why and then question whether he's rite for the role. Look Ben Affleck. From what I read, they wanted him bc he stood slightly taller than superman. But the general consensus was longevity. I think the internet knew he couldn't carry the franchise. I personally jus didn't wanna see his ass chin hanging out the mask. Lik if I'm a criminal and u pull up on me, talking about stop robbing that bank but u hav a hairy ass chin on ur face I'm not gonna listen to u. As for pattison I'm not necessarily against his casting but I do feel lik he has a bit of a soft look to him. He doesn't hav that rugged look lik how Keanu does. hed need to bulk up and somehow lose sum of that boyishness. He does hav the billionaire playboy look down tho

This reminds when the DC fans criticised Heath Ledger when they found out that he got choose to play as Joker in Dark Knight. because they thought he wouldn't pull it off because his past movies are about teen hearttrob or something like that. what i mean is, we shouldn't criticised him because obviously the movie wasn't out yet, and secondly, we shouldn't based his performance on his previous movies he played because there's a reason why he's an actor, an actor plays a different characters in every movie. so yeah.

Here we go! Not a Pattinson fan at all, but one thing Ive learned from prejudging is that 9 times out of 10 I was wrong. Especially with Daniel Craig for Bond. He turned out to be my favorite Bond yet. People dogged him out including myself and he did an awesome job. So Im giving Pattinson the benefit of the doubt. I think when this young man bulk up to 200 pounds of muscle and show what he can do. We might be pleasantly surprised. So the moral of the story is, just wait and see. Accept impermanence.

If hes going to be batman they can't put that into the DCEU, batman was old in all the DCEU films so far so to suddenly have a younger batman wont make any sense what so ever. Yeah have him as batman or another younger actor I mean maybe even the kid from Gotham and have the joker from Gotham in the film. hell use the whole cast from Gotham but them have someone else as the older batman in the DCEU, I still think Scott Atkinson would make a perfect batman next to Henry cavill as superman

Robert Pattinson also hated the twilight movies guys. You arent alone. But he also did some great work in other films and why are you judging it before you even watch it! I dont know if it will be good or bad. We will just have to see and THEN make our judgements. I dont know why thats difficult to see but maybe some people feel so strongly about it for a reason that Im not seeing. Hey youre entitled to an opinion I guess. Im not calling anybody out sorry if it seems like I am.

You know what's the best thing to do if you're against the the casting choice? Don't see it, don't waste your money. That's what I'm doing, everyone is praising him for what he did in INDEPENDENT MOVIES.
Imo if the bar is already low it's pretty hard to not be bad, right? Has he gotten any actual acclaim from them? Anything that's not from a film festival?
What's next, DC casting Taylor Lautner as Superman?

He just needs to bulk up for the role. If not than a skinny scrawny vampire boy won't ever even come close to a good batman. I'm only picking the point about physicality because throughout his entire Hollywood career he has never had to bulk up for a role. His acting is actually there but bulking up ain't going to be easy for him who probably hasn't done more than crossfit

I'd like to see Tom Hardy as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Pattinson might be a good fit, it's hard to say. In my day we didn't have a constant flow of Superhero movies (I was 12 when Keaton played Batman) so I'm mostly just glad good ones are being made. I can handle a stinker or 2 as long as I get some The Dark Knight quality every few tries.

This will ne the first batman movie that I never watch. Which is weird because I've given other questionable batman movies a try at least. Yeah they stunk nut at least I gave it a chance. But this is going a bit too far in my opinion. Christian Bale was bad enough but Sparkly boy is like you think bale was a bad choice? Hold my beer
