If they are diving into Michael's past history, I feel the final prove that people can change will not come from the other humans. It will come from the realization that people can change from seeing a Demon being reformed to a good and kind person. Its a wildly more dramatic of a change from Demon to an Angel than a POS person to a nice person.

I'd rather they end it at the right time rather than draging it out. I love the show but it isn't one designed for a large number of seasons.
Also being from the UK the length of the seasons isn't really that odd to me.

Why is Kristen Bell soooo amazing?

Final Season already! WTDH! Even Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt lasted 4 seasons when only 2 of them were good, and Good Place is a WAY better show!
