Then the has to prove herself worthy to The Nokk (Norwegian water horse spirit) then defeat those Rocks (earth). the only question here is who's the AIR spirit? Was it their mother? theories

My guess is the parents went to answer a call from the enchanted forest and thats why they left. I dont think the mom has powers though, it implies in the trailer that someone with wind power still exists (because in one scene where the wind was blowing everyone out of their houses)
