yoda's species existed long before the arrival of human like creatures his race populated the cosmos for many billions of years but they knew that one day their race would vanish cause their survival rate was a as low as their reproducing rate. Their species are born in eggs and take centuries before hatching and thats when they are vulnerable and how they came to be an extincting race. The arrival of the Sith killing their eggs caused their race to come on the brink of extinction. yoda probably already knew about the existence of this one cause powerfull jedi like him can sens other jedi like him specially if its one of his own race

Really hope baby Yoda isn't going to be tied directly to the new movies. Those movies were all garbage and got worse as they progressed. It would be nice for Disney to set those in an alternate universe and make something better using baby Yoda.

My theory is that baby yoda was born from Yadle from the force. Just like Anakin, there was not father. And probably the real chosen one to bring balance to galaxy. I think
