This Is How Robert De Niro Actually Feels About The Joker Controversy Mark: There was no violence with the screening of the Joker and no credible threats that there would be violence at the screening were ever made. This is an entirely phoney controversy. Why I don't know, but I sense that those pushing it are not entirely honest about their motives.
The only example they bring up, the Aurora theater shooting, was about a DIFFERENT movie. And even there, the shooter only chose the Dark Knight Rises because the screening was packed. He didn't care about the film itself. And the film didn't even have the Joker in it! What a bunch of BS.
The video talks about all the gun violence int the Joker. Compared to many other films, it has much less. More BS to push some unstated narrative.

What a pile of Hot garbage juice; vain people looking for the limelight. Its JUST a movie. JUST A MOVIE PEOPLE! Using that argument, ALL movies should be benched. No more Hannibal Lecter movies, might inspire people to eat others. No more war films, might inspire people to invade europe. The attack during the dark knight wasnt caused by the movie. It was caused by people close and possibly psych people NOT doing enough and failed the shooter, WHICH IS EXACTLY THE MESSAGE IN JOKER. Society today is TOO damn sensitive for ALL the wrong reasons and needs to grow the F up.

Love how the left were implying this was a Far Right movie before release.
Arthur has a crush on a black woman. He murders rich privileged white misogynist men displaying toxic-masculinity. The film spends most of the run time criticising attitudes to social care systems and illustrates an apathetic society whose Conservative politics screw over the lower classes with mental health problems. This movie literally then ends in a violent Marxist mob revolution against the ruling elite - HOW IS THIS IN ANY WAY A RIGHT-WING MOVIE?

Joker comes along and there is a sort of relief in watching it, especially knowing that people are outraged by it; As it conveys and releases some of the similar anguish or grievances that we may feel against our own society.
Ill tell you one thing though, I didnt feel any violent impulses or urge after this movie, but its influencers like the Kardashians, materialistic scumbags in hip-hop, Pop stars, and the like that make a person want to go on a murderous rampage.

Idk why people hate those who think this movie can cause violence, they are not taking this outta their as, there has been mass shootings inspired by joker movies, there are people out there who feel the same way the joker does, and seeing him acting upon it inspires, stop being selfish and acting like the world is like you, you no better than those people in the movie, you expect everyone in real life to act as normal as you are, even those who crearly ain't right.

The real problem is not making movies of violence, allowing people to have guns. The real problem is the powerful and rich crapping on the working class and poor, ignorant and inconsiderate people abusing, bullying, showing disregard and disrespect to others. Especially ones who are vulnerable and different. That is what the movie was trying to show (and make money.

Joker has hardly any gun violence. Only 4 people shot and killed, all with just a little revolver. But it glorifies gun violence and is a symbol of white male rage.
Movies like john wick, or even marvel movies, have dozens or even hundreds of guns fired, and wick in particular must have at least a hundred killed by guns in each movie, surely? But they're fine.

Crazy person shoots random people in theater 2 days after it is released, agenda media blames movie. So apparently he say the movie, bought all his guns the next day and murdered people because he saw a movie 2 days before? No. He planned that shit for a long time and the movie was just the venue for his act
reply

There wasn't rampant gun violence he only shoots the 3 people on the sub and Murray on the talk show. He even says when Randall gives him the gun that he is not supposed to have it alluding to ACTUAL GUN CONTROL. He didnt open fire on the audience after Murray and he didn't shoot people willy nilly.
