There was only one T-1000 and that was a prototype. Those other T-800s were probably sent to kill other leaders of the Resistance. I'm assuming the dog is just used to Carl. Grace going back in time changed the original Legion dominated future. So the Dani we see is completely different from the one Grace knows and that we briefly see. Sarah having contacts in the military makes sense. They probably kept tabs on her and probably saw she was onto something. Skynet turned on humanity because the military tried to pull the plug. The Rev 9 and Carl aren't cyborgs. They are both androids. Grace is the only cyborg. As for Legion, Sarah and Dani couldn't have destroyed every trace of the bodies. For all we know the military retrieves traces of the Rev 9's arm that Carl destroyed.

The T-1000 was a discarded Prototype. Skynet only made a few of them. They were hard for Skynet to control because of their molecular CPU, they were too smart and could circumvent commands gaining free will. Much like how Uncle Bob quit following John Connor's commands, after his CPU was reset, at the end of T-2 and asked Sarah to help him self terminate while John begged him not to. So in other words, the T-1000 had too many bugs and that error was that a T-1000 can make its own decisions whether or not to follow Skynet's commands. Skynet made them too smart. It's been hinted that some of the T-1000 series even turned on Skynet. So Skynet quit producing them as a counter measure.

We know that Major Dean has large pull and is ready to commit treason for Sarah Connor, so theyre probably gonna be wiped by a trusted operative and files delivered and subsequently destroyed.
So yeah, theres that. I do hope they move to a TV series for Dark Fate. Apply a smaller budget for a more focused future war world building series and so forth. Lower budget, lower risks. And even if theyre not mad about another Big movie, some of the cast members, like Mackenzie Davis might return for the focused story.

Heres the plot whole I found. The Terminator franchise goes off the the Butterfly Effect right? That means changing the past changes the future, no multiple reality theory. So how could there be a T-800 terminator (Carl) ready to kill John Conner as a kid when he already stopped Judgment Day to prevent Skynet from ever existing. They wouldnt have been able to send Carl back in the first place because they prevented Skynet from starting Judgment Day. Even the movie mentions that Skynet in the future lost which is my Carl no longer had a mission so that further backs my claim.

Why not have James Cameron direct and produce all future T-films let t1-3 be canon (ROTM introduces more details about models & explores origin of cybernetic organisms as well as introducing stronger version of t-850 Arnold) reference scraped timelines maybe retcon Sarah into the mix and remake terminator salvation then the franchise will be saved. - Of course salvation includes John in chronological order that erases dark fates mistake

I know Dark Fate wasnt a good movie but some of this stuff was answered in movie. T1000 was a prototype there werent more, the terminators Sarah were killing were the terminators Skynet sent back before it was erased Carl just had the info where they would pop up. The reason AI wanted to wipe out humans was explained in previous movies. The Rev 9 was two units in one you answered that yourself. The rest was just shit writing

There r many unanswered questions but we come to know frm terminator 6 that
Grace died but at the last scene of the movie dani said that she wouldn't let her die next time.
And also skynet and legion may be the same AI thing.

Yeah the government knows about skynet. Because of dr silverman. Also they know about plasma tech, which skynet appropriates from alien technology found and eyewitness reports of a certain captain alan schaefer. Skynet made the t800 like him because they had records of the ultimate predator. A man that took down a powerful alien hunter.

In T3, the T-850 said he was selected to kill John Connor in 2032 because of John's familiarity and attachment to his model, meaning he was selected because John wouldn't see it as a threat until it was too late. That is probably why Skynet sent a T-800 to 1998. After all, Terminators are infiltration units.
