the irishman is the retirement for all stars, not just pesci, but also for al pacino, de niro and scorsese himself, in a few years they will all be over 80 years old, and I don't consider this movie a great one, it was meant rather to be a last shot for these aforementioned old stars,

The more I watch The Irishman the more I dont really love it as a great movie as much as I love Joe Pescis performance. It proves he can be just as great as a calm, toned down actor as much as he can as a wild, lunatic actor. Pacino was very good too. Deniro was just being Deniro.

The reason I loved him in Irishman was because he played the opposite of what he had always played. He showed you a docile character that had way more power than anyone hed ever played before but didnt need to flash it.

I just finished the Irishman and what great acting by Pesci. He was total opposite of Tommy in Godfellas. It really showed his range as an actor.
